Overview & Reviews
For 2014, the Toyota Avalon sees no changes other than a minor shuffling of standard and optional features.
- Large trunk
- Quiet and upscale interior with roomy seating front and rear
- Above-average fuel economy.
- Ride quality might be too firm for traditional Avalon buyers
- Cumbersome setup process for Entune.

Very pleased - 2014 Toyota Avalon
By Robert Hunt - June 5 - 2:54 amThis car is everything as advertised. Runs great, quiet, great radio, navigation system is excellent. Gas mileage is true at 26-28mpg Highway and 21-23 mpg in town. If I could change one thing it would be the back up camera’s vision from Navigation screen. In bright sunny situations it is difficult to see.

Great Value, Reliability and Performance - 2014 Toyota Avalon
By S. C. Charles - August 5 - 1:49 amIve owned the Avalon for 6 months and 3 weather seasons, Im very pleased with the performance, comfort and economy of this full size sedan. There are minor annoyances and all cars have them. This car has a few, Updates to the NAV expensive, Road noise a bit more than a car of this class should have and oral commands to the NAV and phone problematic. The high points are the ride is both firm and comfortable, the quality of the interior is exceptional, the sound system is very high quality, the engine is powerful and the effortless shifting of the transmission is flawless, the MPG in a full size car with 268 HP is unbeatable. I did purchase the vehicle used with 8K miles on it at a substantial discount to the sticker price and I feel I received a great value for a car Ill drive for at least 10 years. The reliability of a Toyota is accurately stated by biased and unbiased authorities alike. Suffice to say Im very happy with the purchase and looking forward to driving this car for a long time. Update Ive now owned the car for over a year (over 10,000 mile driven) and could not be happier with the purchase. Ive experienced no mechanical issues and the car is as good as the day I brought it home. Great Job on the redesign and continued reliability Toyota! Id gladly buy it again today! Update Ive now owned the car for almost 2 years and my initial review was accurate the cars interface with the phone/NAV has greatly improved. The mileage is very good at 26.5, the handling of the vehicle is that of a sports car, the ride is a bit rough for a luxury car but very quiet and smooth. Id buy the car again without a thought.

2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring - 2014 Toyota Avalon
By kadena - December 17 - 7:28 amI have had my Avalon for about three weeks. It came equipped with Michelin tires. I really like this car. I bought the Touring especially to get the Blind Spot Monitoring in the outside rear view mirrors and the Rear Cross Traffic Monitoring. I had to buy a lot of options that I will never use just to get these and to my opinion they are safety features that are well worth it and they work real well. The car rides nice, handles good with little or no road noise. Really plush and comfortable seats and interior. Great choice for me

Early impression of the 2014 Avalon - 2014 Toyota Avalon
By jackmack1 - December 30 - 9:46 pmI moved from a 08 ES 350 to the Avalon recently after deciding against the 14 ES350. In my eyes, the Avalon looks better from every angle and test driving it sold me. The cars comfortable, quiet, and has all the performance Ill ever need. I have Michelin tires, and while the ride is just a bit firmer than my old ES, Ive found it to be comfortable over a variety of different pavements. The secure responsive handling of this car more than offsets whatever small compromise in ride comfort was made. Again, early impressions, but I think its a winner. One thing: I was surprised at how much darker the window tint on all but the windshield is. Compromises visibility, but I do have The BSM.

2014 Avalon Touring. - 2014 Toyota Avalon
By jimdrew - October 30 - 4:17 amHave owned a 2014 Avalon Touring for about 3 Months now. I owned a 2012 Camry SE V6 and it was awesome. I feel in love with the new design of the Avalon in 2013. When I was able to trade out even and not upside down on Camry I did. Yes, I had to go to more than one dealer to make the deal but finally made it work. My 2012 Camry was $26K with all the toys and the 2014 Avalon Touring was $33K plus tax and tag. For a $7K difference it was an absolute steal. The ride is much better than the Camry. I love the interior design too.. wow, upscale all the way. Quick of the line and a great vehicle to drive on the Turn Pike.. I am extremely pleased. The Edmunds figures were on the money
