  • Not as good as past models. - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

This is my third 4Runner 1996, 2004 and 2010. I think that as time goes by Toyota is not living up to the quality that I am used too. By far the 1996 was the best vehicle. I do not like the doors unlocking on the 2010 as soon as the car is in park. I drive by myself long distance and I hate the fact that the doors automatically open. Also not happy about the running boards. I am 52" for crying out loud it is a challenge to get into the vehicle. I wont put anything on the truck unless it is a certified Toyota part. Interior has its problems the head rest doesnt lock into place and that becomes annoying. Oh yeah one more thing the horn on the 2010 is like a horn that belongs on Tercel.

  • Toyota Missed The Mark A Bit - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I had a 07 4R and traded for the 2010 4R. The new one is very nice, but it is so much larger and bulkier than the 07. The interior features are square and give a harsher, hard appearance. The locking gas door is gone. Why?? I had to buy a locking gas cap. It is a fine SUV, but if I knew what I know now, I wouldve kept my 07 4R.

  • Extremely Pleased - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I initially planned on purchasing a 2009 4runner, but when I saw the redesigned fifth generation, I was hooked. My father and brother both owned third generation models which performed admirably (my brothers is over 200,000 miles now and has not had any major issued). The most noticeable improvement for me is the 2010s enhanced ride and pure drivability. I felt very confident driving aggressively through Houston traffic on my way back to Louisiana after purchasing the vehicle. Smooth power, precise handling, and a rugged, attractive exterior; a class-act all around.

  • Loving my Toyota 4-Runner - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I purchased the Toyota 4-Runner after months of looking and driving vehicles. When I saw the new Toyota 4- Runner for the first time, I knew that was the vehicle I was buying. I drove right at two hours to get my vehicle. I love my new vehicle. Vehicle handles great, great gas mileage for the size.

  • Decent Car - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

If you want to go off road, this vehicle will do decent. Its not nearly as good as a wrangler though. It would be better but no front or middle differentials.

  • Mediocre - 2010 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

Have had for 2 months and about 8k miles. Ok at best.. I too felt really great the first weeks but the flaws are beginning to reveal themselves. Notwithstanding the issues toyota is dealing with right now I have found the quality of this vehicle lacking in several areas. It is decent basic transportation but not much more.

  • New 4runners, NOT as good as the last, v6 weak.. - 2010 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I have had the last few 4runners now, the Limited 1997, then the amazing 2007 V8 Limited. I love the cars, performance and Toyota quality. I really didnt want to trade in my 2007 but I hit 100K so figured I would check them out, not too crazy about the new style but it is okay and thought the new higher HP V6 might be okay at 270HP, however it is NOT, it is WAY underpowered for this size vehicle. It also doesnt have the same solid feel that my previous 4runners always had that others never had. Makes me wonder if they really changed some things here....engine just doesnt feel right.....way to slow, with the Tundra 5.7 v8 as an option this might be a great truck

  • Good Car - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

This car is simply unstoppable off road. Mountain Peaks, Trailblazing, Water fording, and anything else off the beaten path the car can do without breaking a sweat.

  • This is a Toyota? - 2010 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

This car should definitely revive Toyotas declining reputation for sure. I have never owned a better vehicle. It works simple marvels off road, but its still more then comfortable in the city. It blows my wifes g-class out the water. More comfortable both on the beaten path and off-road. I got it lifted, added a bullbar, kc lights, rear Bush guards, and a snorkel, but it still handles like my previous 3 series. The real shocker is though how good it does water fording. I was driving through a lake once that my-off road club goes in often but I ran into a deep spot that we didnt know about. It completely submerged, with just the snorkel sticking out. It was stuck for over 3 seconds but still drove out!

  • No comfort at all-go with a Pathfinder - 2010 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I bought a 4runner and Im disappointed. The seats are very hard and cramped, you feel every bump in the road and the braking is abrupt. Way stiffer of a ride and i would recommend the Pathfinder any day. Also the 3rd row seat is useless, there is virtually no leg room at all.
