  • Toyota is getting stingy - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I recently got a 4Runner Limited but I had the opportunity to review the SR5 in detail as well. The 4Runner is a great SUV, reliable, efficient, safe, and powerful but on the 2010 I was disappointed to know that Toyota no longer puts the cross-bars in the roof, the mudguards are gone and there is no running boards anymore, not even for the Limited Edition. That is unacceptable. The dealer says that during the 2010 summer these accessories will be available but of course you will have to pay $$ for them. Isnt that ridiculous?

  • The Best of All my Autos - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I know Japanese autos are somewhat pricey. At 52 yrs old Ive had my share of the good the bad and the ugly. Including corvettes, compact cars and others suvs. But without a doubt my favorite automobile is my 2010 Limited 4-Runner. It checks all the boxes that Ive come across. Looks, Styling, Value , Comfortability . My only problem is gas mileage combined 16 M.P.G.. Overall this automobile is my best of the best.

Have 5100 miles and so far and is exceeding my expectations on MPG and comfort. Just got back from a 1200 mile trip and the reclining back seats were a big hit! The lack of freeway noise and great ride and seats make it an excellent long distance cruiser. Easy to avg 20 MPG overall. In daily 25 mile highwy/city commute I typically get 20.5 MPG with some stop and go driving which is amazing. Exceeding 75 mph gets the MPG to drop slightly below 20 mpg. Also nice to use only regular gas as compared to mid-grade or premium in my Tacoma and Lexus.

This my third 4 runner 4x4,I am not happy with the standard equipment. My 2004&2008 SR5 4X4,in my estimation had better standard features. I must admit it is a great looking vehicle, and has that toyota feel of quality. I cant believe this 4X4 does not have mud flaps,no running boards,no cross members on roof rack,no limited slip rear end,no locking differential, and they eliminated the turn knob to engage the 4 wheel drive, you need to push a handle to engage the 4 wheel drive. My wife hates it,NOT WOMAN FRIENDLY!

I love my 4runner, love the feel and ride. I would definitely buy it again. I used to own a 97 ford explorer, but never had a new vehicle. would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone. so far my gas mileage is 17.4 and climbing since i picked it up the 2nd week of January 2010. It definitely gets up and goes, could very easily get a speeding ticket in this sub.

  • Best 4Runner yet - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I like this 4Runner, overall. Looks sharp and excellent build quality. Coming from a torquey sport sedan, a more powerful engine is something to be desired. I know its not a sports car and its going to take some getting used to. Hopefully it will perform better after the break-in period. It does need better lower end torque. The 4x4 feels heavier than the 4x2. Nice interior and good sounding stereo. The wire antenna has to go; Toyota is moving backwards on this one.

  • Love my 4RUNNERS - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

This is my 3rd 4RUNNER. I have had the 2003, 2007, and now the 2010 Limited 4RUNNER. I am very satisfied with this one other than the fact that the basics I just knew would be standard are not even available as options. This is the highest 4Runner Ive owned, and it has no running boards, go figure, also no wind deflectors available. Love the adjustable, reclining backs, AWESOME! Also very pleased with all the other perks. Im a Toyota Fan for LIFE!

  • Everything ive wanted and then some - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

My 2010 4runner currently has 39k and has been flawless to me.. i bought it with 26k to avoid the high new car price and couldnt be more satisfied with it. Itll tow anything that Ill ever need to tow and carries everything i could want. The only thing Ive had it in the dealer for was the TSB on the headlight replacement for when they haze up. I didnt need it done but figured Id do it before i was out of warranty. all these things need are oil changes and routine maintenance and they should go forever! I love the new interior on the 5th generations! Bluetooth, backup cam, nice easy to use Navi all looks good on the black interior! cant forget the famous roll down back window!!!

  • SR5 vs Limited - 2010 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

As a small business owners we get a tax break if you purchase a vehicle over 6,000lbs. The 4Runner was at the top of the list at 6,300. The big question...SR5 or Limited (8-10K diff.). Our dealer received the Blizzard White SR5 first (4x4). The day it arrived we drove it and instantly loved it. It had so many standard features that we didnt consider the Limited after this (~$34K vs ~$42K). We purchased the vehicle the next day and have not regretted our decision in the least bit. It is a dream to drive, very comfortable, and fun. We added a remote starter and mud flaps as dealer accessories.
