Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Finally a SUV with a sports sedan feel, its not your moms SUV. We purchased an 06 Murano 3 weeks ago, after driving all of its competitors. It was the ride and styling of the vehicle that sold us. None of the others compared for the $$$. Its a fun car to drive with a comfortable and well laid out interior. We are looking forward to a long road trip.

I have just turned in my 2007 Murano for a new 2010 Murano. I am expecting baby #2 and have found for the space the vehicle is perfect. It runs great, has beautiful design inside and out and is a safe vehicle for my family. I have shopped around and for my budget its the best vehicle hands down.

Only had the Murano for a week now but we really love it. Nice pick up and the ride is very nice. Pot holes can be a little rough but other than that the ride is ultra smooth. Quiet motor and the CVT is smooth as silk.

I had my murano for four years now and I had it. I considered all the problems it cost me...alternator, replaced battery TWICE, replaced door locks, replaced gas door, NOW they are telling me that I need to replace my engine mount because its cracked. I drive my cars cautiously, and I need something reliable. Did I add that it left me stranded TWICE and I had to call for help. Thats when I had the alternator changed. Now that I have a family, I cannot be wasting my extra cash on repairs/replacement. I will NEVER purchase another Nissan. This will be my first and last.

Took delivery of my polished pewter charcoal int. + all options except the entertainmente system on 2/28.Have logged a bit over 600 miles so far, combo of hiway and city, with an average MPG of 22.1 system calculated and manual. In that Im eligible to get on the social security wagon, its likely that my body has logged more miles than most who have an interest in the Murano design. However, this vehicle is by far the most comfortable and satisfying vehicle Ive driven in my lifetime.

  • Before you buy, read this! Trust me! - 2003 Nissan Murano

Before you buy the Murano, test drive it and do this test! I guarantee you probably will think twice about buying the Murano. Go with the salesman and before starting out, roll down the back two windows, all the way down, leaving the front windows and the sunroof CLOSED. Drive past 35mph and LISTEN!!!! What youll experience is the worse case of in-cabin turbulence meaning your eardrums feel like theyre going to explode.
