Overview & Reviews
The Altima's winning formula continues with few changes. Smoke is a new exterior color choice, and four-cylinder models meet stricter federal emissions standards. Models with California emissions are now classified as Partial Zero Emissions Vehicles (PZEV).
- Sports car power in a midsize sedan body, excellent handling, roomy and comfortable interior, high level of features, distinct styling.
- Low-grade interior materials, considerable road noise, overboosted steering, no stability control.

Kays - 2004 Nissan Altima
By kdk - July 10 - 10:00 amMine is a 2002 Altma with everything on it. The car is great and alot of fun to drive. I wish Nissan had put more into the inside of the car. It is not as comfortable on long trips as my Jeep is.

Affordable Style! - 2004 Nissan Altima
By KiemaB - July 10 - 10:00 amI bought our Altima brand new and I though it was the best choich of the bunch. Pricing was great and the looks and styling of the car were even better. Anyone looking to drive a maxima or infinity for 8 to 12 thousand less. This is the place!

My Ultimate Altima - 2004 Nissan Altima
By vwilliams - July 4 - 2:00 amI absolutely love my Altima. To be honest I had driven a Toyota until I looked at the new designed Altima. I have a 2002 and just love it. I got the 3.5 V6 and it runs like a top. So fun to drive and great sporty looks.

2005 Altima 3.5 SE - 2004 Nissan Altima
By nissanman - June 12 - 10:06 amI have been a Nissan owner for several years. My first Nissan product was an Infiniti G20. Since then I have owned another G20, two Maximas, and my Altima. I loved my 02 Maxima SE (which I sold to buy my wife her car). I love this Altima. Prior to buying my 02 Maxima, I drove an 02 Altima. I immediately disliked the Altimas interior (cheap). The 05 Altima is a huge improvement. The 3.5 V6 gets outstanding gas mileage, especially given its intoxicating power, and is very smooth. The ride is comfortable, and the car is quiet. I paid $2K less for my 05 Altima than I did for my 02 Maxima (great value). My next car is going to be another Nissan product, probably an Infiniti G35.

185K and going strong - 2004 Nissan Altima
By deanriley - May 30 - 5:00 pmAfter 185,000 miles, this car still runs and rides like new. The 2.5 L, 4 sp automatic has plenty of pep and delivers an average of 27 mpg for this daily commuter. The ride is smooth and handling is above average. There is plenty of head and leg room front and back, the seats are comfortable, and the Bose sound system is fantastic. Maintenance has been minimal, replacing the front right wheel bearing at 90K, crankshaft position sensor at 102K, upper motor mount and idler pulley at 135K and rear wheel bearings at 175K. The road noise is the only thing that I can say bad about this car. This car has given us great service.
