Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Happy to own an E320 - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Peter Schleipman - March 20 - 1:06 pmThe next car I buy will have 4 wheel drive or, at least, front wheel drive. The E320 does not do well in snow. I wish I had purchased the 4 matic.

The Best in Class - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Kendall_160 - March 14 - 10:00 amAN excellent and classy car. I must say IF I lost to an Audi A6 in a quarter- mile w. a supercharged 469 and a car that can go toe-to-toe w. Z-06 in the 0- 60 w. enouff back space to put a family in. Then, it wouldnt be the car would it? Its obviously the driver. Kinda like saying a Porsche GT2 losing to a Mustang - It aintt the car, Bub. Yes, its ALL YOU!

By peter coury - March 14 - 10:00 am2003 e-500 has a very mushy ride, out of touch with the road, interior is way too light colored but few interior color choices, confusing controls, ordinary styling, has been robbed of mercedes qualities. out of touch with the driver, Ill drive my 1999 E-320 thanks, now thats a mercedes. would not buy again!

Mercedes E320 CDI - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Jerry - March 12 - 11:36 pmRecently drove from FL to RI and averaged 36mpg. Very quiet and very powerful. Average around town and in the city is 25. I have been running bio-diesel so it is even more ecologically minded.

Love this car, but.... - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Marin Princess - March 12 - 6:03 amThis is the fifth MB Ive owned, and this ones the best. It handles beautifully, and is a delight to drive. But, the GPS has me screaming! It takes me the long way, and through neighborhoods no one should drive this car through. I now print maps from my computer before I leave home, and dont rely on the one in my car. Too bad. Satellite reception for Sirius is spotty, and not my first choice. I prefer the XM system. Oh well... But I still love this car. Thanks Mercedes! Youve done it again.

A Religious Experience - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Kyle - March 11 - 6:33 pmI traded in my 07 Mustang for this because it was an amazing steal. One word describes this car: heavenly. I cant stop staring at it; 10 years down the road it will be just as elegant and refined as it is today. The ride is amazingly smooth, you can hit potholes at 40mph and hear them but not feel them. The sound system is impeccable and the controls easy to use if a bit distant from your hand. The V8 is the most finely tuned Ive ever seen-easy to control yet quick to please. AWD is amazing yet does not sacrifice handling as so many others do. Gas mileage is awful but is to be expected and no worse than any SUV. The controls are in the oddest places and are sometimes hard to fathom.

"KLASS E" - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By embeth - March 8 - 8:13 amThis is our second Mercedes. Our other one is a 2006 CLS55 AMG. I bought this E500 this May with the Sports Package as well as the Apperance Package. I love the Sports package with the dual exhaust, sports suspension, and high performance tires. I live in a wealthy town, and I see Mercedes all the time. I wanted mine to be & look different and it does. I am yet to see another E500 with the Sports Package. From my understanding, not alot were made for the 2006 model.

Great Drive - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By acarlover - March 8 - 2:00 amAfter having a 2000 S500 and BMWs since 1975, this car is the pick of the litter. Much more of a drivers car than the S500, it is a kick to drive. The car is a bit smaller inside than the previous car, but certainly comfortable and plush as expected. ..Downsizing maybe, but a lot more fun!

Dont buy this car...!! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By fomopopo - March 8 - 2:00 amThis was our first MB purchase, and our last. We have had every malfunction you can think of.. SOS, radio, tire presure, pulling to the right, and broken molding under front seat (check yours). I should have bought a Lexus. Dont walk away from this vehicle, run. Weve had little help from the MB headquarters, and the dealership is overwhelmed with malfunctioning vehicles. Ours has been in the shop 5 times in the last 9 months.
