Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

My E500...one year later - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Texan Doug - October 1 - 2:00 amIve put 8,000 miles on my black E500. I enjoy the sporty feel of driving this car on the streets and freeways of Houston. The ride is very smooth, either at 25 or 125. Interior is plenty big for 4 large adults, and a little snug for 5. Trunk can hold 4 sets of golf clubs. Nice layout of the dash. The suspension is probably set one notch too tight...and sometimes rides more like a vette. Corners well and is remarkable in wet weather. CD player works great, but poor radio reception is due to a computer software bug which can be repaired at the dealer.

Mercedes should be ashamed of their internal build quality - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By daiku - September 28 - 8:59 pmFirst, the engine, and ride have been great, but the internal comfort features on this $60K have been terrible. 4 front cup holders replaced @$80 each Keyless go doors dont work and need repair and redesign Replaced thee rear DOOR latch on the right passenger side so my daughter could get out of the vehicle $685!. Rear sunscreen not functioning (MB are notorious for this problem, yet the still dont have a better design from Bosch). First and Last MB. I bought the car for my wife who always wanted one, but never again. Toyotas are much bettter built. As a person of German heritage, I am ashamed at this vehicle! Embarrassment to not stand behind these problems out of warranty

Quiet and Smooth - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Finman - September 28 - 12:30 pmOverall a great car if smooth, quiet, and solid are what one is looking for. Not sporty, but high-quality luxury. Very good acceleration if needed from a stop although requires a long pedal to really make it move. Looking better and better as this generation evolves. Very good stock automotive HK sound system. Absolute pleasure to drive, wish I had gotten a 15k-18k lease instead of 12k. Custom- ordered, fully loaded except panoramic sunroof which is not needed in Arizona, besides the standard sunroof is pretty big!

WOW - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Poppy - September 26 - 10:10 pmI traded a 2004 E320 (the best car I had ever owned) for a 2008 E350 ostensibly to get 21st century cup holders and an ipod kit. I got much more. Although the skin is very similar, the guts are all new and vastly improved. I got the Sport model and the handling is phenomenal. This is my third E Class (my wife had an E320 wagon). Each has been extremely reliable. I have always purchased CPO Mercedes and have been extremely happy with the performance and, of course, the savings.

E-320 - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rmmakhene - September 26 - 10:00 amI have had my E-320 since December, 2002 and I can say unequivocally that it is the best car I have ever owned (previous car was an Acura Legend). The performance is good for a 6- cylinder. Comfort is excellent. Have not had any problems with engine, transmission, electrical, etc. My only complaint is that the rain- sensing wipers are not always accurate and I find myself frequently having to either turn them on or off completely. Standard, manual intermittent wipers would have been better in my opinion. Other than I would recommend it highly to any prospective buyer.

Hesitating....... - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By JWW - September 23 - 9:56 pmMy first MB,an E350 Coupe; love the look, gas mileage and ride. 3 PROBS: #1-it unpredictably hesitates upon acceleration, at times leaving me in a dangerous position in traffic. Dealer updated the software, no improvement. Back in shop now (Oct 09), dealer has ordered new accelerator assemby; #2- Moon roof fabric liner has come loose, freezing the retractor; it has to be replaced; #3-blue tooth hands free has to be re-programmed frequently. Parts have to be ordered from Germany; still dont have the all weather floor mats I bought in July. Were not off to the best of starts....

Great Stylish Ride - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mercedes Buff - September 16 - 12:50 amAfter the initial bugs [SRS Airbag waring sensor issues, and electrionic key ignition excitering failure] were worked out after the first 10 months, the car has been a pure joy!
