Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Weve had our new 2004 E320 4Matic Wagon for 2 weeks. Its early, but so far its a gem. The new 4Matic systems seems very sophisticated. Three points of minor interest: the fuel milage seems not to be as good as the 2003, on ours, the compass isnt working right and the 3rd seat head room seems less than on the 2003 - a trade-off with aerodynamics, Im sure. Nevertheless, the car feels solid and well planted on the road.

this is a great wagon, which rides like a sedan. it is beautiful both inside and out. i dreaded ever having to get another suv,so this is my second mercedes e320 wagon. i loved the first one and so far this has surpassed my expectations. it is functional, gorgeous, and practical. the only negative might be that the brakes are little too sensitive to touch(or perhaps its my lead foot).

Perfection with exception of missing cassette tape player. Much more than I expected and more than I deserve. Wonderful.

Great car that feels sturdy and smooth. Purchased the car with 69k and Head Gaket, front engine seal and front timing chain cover was all leaking. After fixing those items it started to have electrical problems. The engine wire harness was brittle and arcing under the top engine cover. Then the center vents in the dash stopped flowing air. To fix, $300 up to $1200 depending on the 6 vacuum pods (10 hours labor).

  • She saved my life, no joke. - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

If you are looking for an older vehicle with power, looks, and safety out the wazoo, look no further. Seriously. Day before yesterday I was in an accident on the freeway in my E320, not even the 4MATIC version. I was doing 75mph, my car flipped up a hill, and rolled back down it. I crawled out the sunroof with a couple bruises and some small cuts. No concussion, nothing. If I had been in ANY other vehicle, I would be dead, absolutely. I LOVED my E320 with all my heart, and it makes me so sad that shes literally a pancake in the towyard. I will never drive another kind of vehicle again. One hundred percent serious. If youre looking for a MB, but dont want to buy yourself or your kid a new one, find a 99, 2000, 2001, because they are just as magnificent and SAFE as a new ones! And they will still last a long time, even with 200k+ miles. Mine was driving wonderfully still at 252k with very basic maintenance.

  • The perfect car - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I had been looking at the sport sedans such as Infinity and Acura, but although they were fast, they lacked rear seating capacity for 3 kids. Also the interiors appear to be cheap and not too appealing (especially if you like the luxurious look while still maintaining the sportiness). I fell in love with this car the moment I looked inside. It looks rich, not cheap at all, definitely has the wow factor. This car had so many really cool bells and whistles, I have never had such a comfortable ride, great handling and speed adjusters make for a great ride.I average 28mpg on hwy and around 20 in town. not bad for v6.

  • Great CPO Purchase - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes has 1.99% financing for up to 6 years and includes the next two service intervals for free! After the original factory warranty expires, I have three more years under the CPO warranty with unlimited mileage. Its a fully optioned vehicle in Iridium Silver.

  • Chryslerization of Mercedes-Benz - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Year 2003. Death of a classic brand. The tradgedy finally happened. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has gone to cheap, gimmicky Americanized, low-class trash. From the fake chrome plastic knobs that clutter the entire dashboard and console, to the Chrysler "star" patterned wheels. Ever since the merger, we have sat and worried and wondered when the famous, world class brand would begin to show the signs of being diluted and infected. The wait is over. My next car will come from BMW and I pray to the car-maker gods to please allow this one remaining quality brand to remain independent and uninfected.

  • Love My New Mercedes-Benz - 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I just bought my new 2009 Mercedes- Benz E 350 on July 31st. I absolutely love my new car. My past Mercedes included a 1999 C 230 and a 2006 C 230 and my dream has always been to own an E Class. Back in 2003 when Mercedes changed the body style I thought it was the most beautiful car IÂ’d ever seen. I still feel that way about it. The car just has great lines and the interior is absolutely gorgeous. The handling and horsepower is just amazing. The fit and finish is exactly what you would expect from Mercedes- Benz. The quality and workmanship is way beyond what you get in an American or Japanese car. The deal I got on the 2009 was incredible. Ask me and IÂ’ll tell you about it.
