Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • Everything I expected from a Mercedes - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

In the process of choosing a luxury sport sedan, I went to all the usual suspects, but each had its downfall.(Lexus LS430 = bland styling, BMW 5series was too sporty, Infiniti M35 had a cheap detailing)So I was left with two possiblities, the new Acura RL, coming in 05, or the redesigned E320. I choose the E320. Its interior was of an unmatched style and quality. The exterior has the right amount of sport and luxury. And that three-pointed star sealed the deal. So far, I have not have one single problem, and hopefully it will say that way. The dealership treated me as though I was a prince when it was sent in for service. The power is more than adequate, and it is all I wanted.

  • My E350 - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car exceeds my expectations for comfort, performance, and reliability. The 7 speed auto provides great power at any rpm. The 6 cyl engine provides great fuel economy. The car has that solid German feel while remaining comfortable. I especially like the semi active suspension with its three settings. I feel safe when im driving this car.

  • My Mercedes nightmare!! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Im the second owner of this amazing e550, let me say its a head turner. However after months after buying the car I started to notice a "malfunction" light indicating a car with a lift symbol. Never thought much seeing how it came on and went away. After a few weeks it started to come on daily. I then noticed the car dropped about an inch!! The airmatic was broken!! The rear was on the ground! I brought it to Mercedes they told me over 3800.00 to repair the rear airbags and compressor!!! What a joke. Who builds a car on air suspension?!?!? It will always fail. Mercedes needs to recall this! Beware buyers. After 40k you will have to replace this! Go buy a c class youll be better off.....

  • I am smitten! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I am smitten! Having owned the Mercedes 350 coupe for just one day now my thoughts run to how much a pleasure it is to drive. The supple ride, the wonderful handling, and quiet power, all lead me to praise this car way beyond anything I have ever owned. My concern about leaving my Solara behind have melted into the expectations of getting the car out on the open road and enjoying the touring experience. I am constantly surprised at the little driver friendly touches I find as I move along. Does this car actually make you younger or just feel younger?

I drive more than I used to in my 1999 E series, or my 1987 RX7 (a great handling car). I seek out the windy roads.

  • 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 Avant-Garde Sport - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Mercedes- Benz E-Class is an amazing vehicle, that I have truly enjoyed owning. The design is so timeless and elegant and never looks pretentious, but only classy. The interior and exterior are made of materials that are built to last, and everything feels high quality and feels as if it could withstand a nuclear attack. However, there are some problems with this model, specifically with the transmission valve body, which does tend to fail but the replacement should resolve any issues. This car is expensive to fix, and owners should have a few thousand sat aside for potential problems, however problems generally are few to none.

This car is fast and fun to drive. It offers race-car speed and handling with four-door sedan comfort. The steering is not BMW-tight, but in the sports mode it makes a pretty close approximation. The car has a bunch of add-ons which should have been standard in a 90000+ dollar car(final cost). I did not like the styling changes with the new 5- series so the M5 was not an alternative I felt worth exploring. The AMG styling changes make this car standout. I am completely satisfied with driving experience and the seats are amazing. Im 6 5" and my wife is 50". We both have found comfortable seating positions

I own both the BMW 5 series and this Mercedes 320 CDI. The Mercedes is so much more fun to drive! It has the power of a V8 yet sips fuel. The power matches the extra weight to give you the ride of a larger car. The leather seast are well made. The sound system is the best Ive seen in a Mercedes ever, remember Becker? This will be a great car for many years.

  • Joy to drive, but painful to service. - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Inherited this car while under warranty. This car has beautiful lines, a comfortable interior, and sensational performance. I love to drive it, and I will miss it in three days, when the new owner takes possession...sniffle, sniffle. However, having owned Nissans and Toyotas prior to this vehicle, I have to say, the reliability on this car...not so good. We have had $4,600 of repairs since 2001, mostly electrical, frequently involving window motors - and the car only has 70k. Further, we had to have rear car- seat tethering mounts installed - very expensive on something that should be standard. Electrical issues/ $ repairs outweighed road performance; we switched to an Infiniti.

  • Perfect Balance of Sports and Luxury - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I have had the car for a while now, and this car is really fun to drive.Lexuss cars are rediculously reliable but theyre not sports cars, they dont have much passion in them. BMW are very sporty by nature, but the interior lacks luxury and the iDrive doesnt help. Audis interior are first rate, but the performance lags behind most of its competitors. The E350 is accelerates smooth and swiftly, and the engine is also extremely responsive. It also incorporates everyday practicality. This interior is absolutely beautiful, Mercedes understands how to incorporate chrome to make the interior look modren and stylish while still retaining the classic Mercedes interior look. Its Just a great car!
