Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Fair is Fair - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By FairJudging - January 25 - 2:00 amPerformance is loud but with manners. Overall comfort is good, but rear seats are a bit too firm. At first, the car seems to loud and harsh for its brand. After a while, though, things becomes right and everytihng feels very good; it becomes the only car you want to drive. I even find myself driving around just for the heck of it. I love the car to death now. Nonetheless, there is always small problems happening to the car.

Mercedes Misses the Mark - Very Poor Technology - 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By silvercab - January 23 - 12:55 amI recently purchased new 2012, Blue Tooth system does not work. I get error messages covering the Nav Screen every day. MB Customer service told me I need to choose a compatible phone from the MB approved list (apparently something the dealer should have mentioned in advance). Initially, MB were very accommodating and said they would reimburse my out of pocket expense to get a "MB compatible" phone. I now have their phone and I still get the same error messages. MB customer service says, "there is nothing more we can do for you" and "many 2012 customers are experiencing the same problems." In addition, ParkTronic does not function properly and power seat broke twice.

I love my E500 - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Rob D. - January 22 - 5:50 pmI love this car. I have owned Hummer H2s Lexus LS400 and SC430s, Cadillac DeVilles, MB c240s etc. The E500 is by far the best I have owned. Its fast as hell ( my best 1/4 mile time is 13.9 at 102mph with a few chips) smooth riding, great pickup sexy looks and extreme attitude. You cant mess with this car it messes with you!

Love this car... - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By texasseal - January 21 - 10:00 amLove the car, hate the repairs. When they hit theyre expensive--Im looking at $2,272 repair for AC (in Texas a must have) and a steering gear replacement --the part alone is $1,597 labor only $191. Ouch. The car is a fun and tight drive never been stranded anywhere driving long commutes daily.

E 500 - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Brian - January 14 - 10:10 pmThis is my 3rd E Class. I bought this car used with 21000 miles. It now has 25000 miles and the tires are completely shot. Car is too heavy for tires. I would advise everybody to not upgrade with the Continentals installed at factory. Possibly go for Michelin Pilots. Car consisently drifts to the right. Radio, GPS sometimes freezes. Sometimes engine very noisy but cannot hear inside car.Tend to hit the cruise control stalk by mistake sometimes. Car ejects gas hose aggressively when full resulting in spillage, paint damage, etc. I chose to forgive all of these flaws because of the superb transmission and tremedous power. Handling in the sport mode is awesome for a car of this size. Get the extended warranty.

Great performance, mileage, terrible GPS - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Robert - January 12 - 1:06 amI love the horsepower and the mileage. The car flies and I get over 28 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG overall. Mine did have a cylinder head replaced at 2500 miles but it has run great ever sense. The hood does not line up perfectly which is not something I expected from MBZ. This is my fourth Mercedes but it will probably be my last because of the navigation system. The GPS is the worst product I have ever purchased and I am very familiar with GPS systems. After two years of trying, I give up. It simply does not work. It proposes ridiculous routes, is difficult to use, shows irrelevant points and leaves off significant towns, even on interstates. I wish there was a fix for it.

This Car is Near Perfect! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MAPC - January 9 - 10:00 amThis car is absolutely fantastic. I have owned many other luxury imports, including several MBs and this car beats all of them HANDS DOWN! The car is the perfect size- when I am driving alone it doesnt feel excessive, when I need to take clients out it is luxurious and comfortable, and when I take the kids our the 3rd row keeps them (and their mess) out of the passenger compartment. The car just plain feels right. From a handling perspective, the car sticks to the road like glue. I have owned a Porsche 911 and this sticks as tightly as the Porsche. I dont know if it is the rubber, the 4Matic, or what, but it all works beautifully. I cannot describe how happy I am with this purchase.
