Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

We really enjoy this car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Tom from Nashville - March 15 - 12:06 pmHave always wanted to own a new Mercedes, now we do. Previous car was a 01 E-320 & though we thoroughly enjoyed owning it, the 05 model is vastly improved. Thought about waiting for the new E-350, but felt very comfortable with the deal I got on this one.

love my new e class - 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Michael - March 15 - 12:09 amonly have the car a couple of weeks, less than a thousand miles. this is primarily my wifes car and I have not heard ONE complaint since she started driving it, quite the opposite. so that alone makes it a great buy. we had the homelink problem but the dealer fixed it in about an hour. i pretty much like everything about this car except it could probably use the v6. its actually got me thinking about trading in my range rover sport for an mb estate. takes a bit of time to get the interfaces down, but once you start getting it its not that bad.

By MAD DOG - March 13 - 10:00 amThe E300 Turbodiesel is a great car. Have loved it since the first day we drove it home. The diesel gets between 30-35 mpg and there is no problem with power. Wonderful ride, am looking forward to many wonderful years of great service.

Initial New Review - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mark - March 12 - 2:00 amBeautiful car; handles well. I have the "radar" package (Distronic) and it is worth every penny. Quality build. I would hope to write a review in a year to see if I am still as satisfied as I am now.

Love my E - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Emperor Hsu - March 3 - 6:56 pmI just bought the 05 E Class as a late B-day present to myself. I love the car so far. I have heard about the electronic gremlins in the car. Hopefully there arent any in mine. The obsidian black paint is just gorgeous. I definetly reccomend the premium package. You get everything you need with that package except for the heated seats of course. I hope I am still in love with this car when I have to decide on getting the extended warranty. The appearance package is great. Except for the black wood trim, and the nasty looking rims. The stock rims look so much better. I wish they would bing back the window controls in the center. That was trademark mercedes!

What a find ! - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Fritzmeister - March 3 - 7:26 amI just bought a 1999 E320 wagon with actual 11921 miles on it! What a dream! Within the first 2 weeks I put about 1000 miles on it because I want to drive it. Smooth handling yet sporty, a wagon that goes from 0-60 in under 9 seconds all with an average 23mpg. Luxurious, comfortable and huge! Lots of cargo room. Wish it would have been a 4-matic, yet if you know how to drive, the anti-slip control should get you safely through the winter. At 90mph it runs as it is on tracks and is incredibly quiet. Third row option allows you to go on short trips with 5 adults and two kids! This car is a dream and is as classy as it is practical. I will definitely own it for quiet a few years to come.

Dissapointed - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By George - February 26 - 12:50 pmI am very dissapointed with Mercedes and will no longer ever look to buy one in the future. I purchased my 1997 E420 from a reputable local dealer in 2005 with 54,000 original miles. My vehicle only has 66,000 miles to date and I have been forced to make costle repairs the last six months in excess of $4,000. As the vehicle is only worth $7,000 I feel I have been cheated by chosing such an unreliable hunk of junk. If you are looking for reliability and affordability, this is not the car for you! I have had to replace my lifters,a/c blower, seat motor, ignition, and lastly the radiator cracked. This car is easy to fall in love with its looks but has proven to be venomnous to my bank account!

Could not be better - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MadMac - February 20 - 11:30 pmI purchased this car a month ago in VA, and drove it 1000 miles home. It is a beautiful vehicle with outstanding economy (35 hwy), amazing for a 2 ton car. It is quiet, smooth, and nothing is loose. From the inside you cannot tell that is it a diesel. We need to educate Americans about diesels. They are very mainstream in the rest of the world. They are no longer slow, loud, and smokey. Stop being so concerned about horsepower when it is torque that matters. The car is very quick. It looks like new. It had 100,500 miles on it when purchased.
