Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

This car is a rock star to me, they got everything right, even the little details from the LED running lights to the engine growl. I had a S500 that pampered me, but this one is just flat out fun to get into and drive. I have had it almost 9 months and havent had a thing wrong with it. I dont use the navigation much but when I do I can tell there is a bit of a learning curve. It is fun to have a car that generates second glances and lets you know you have more than enough power on the road. The 550 engine was well worth it.

Great car Im very happy with whats nice about the AMG E55 is its exclusivity, not many people know what your driving or have any type of understanding of the potency and performance of this car. This car is an excellent cruiser on the highway or in town. I love it

Ive owned this vehicle for about 9 months now and the longer I own it and drive it the more Im enjoying it. Ive averaged up to 28 mpg on the highway at speeds to 70 mph. The ride is very comfortable. The suspension is a little firm but thats why I bought the 500 and not the 350. The xenon light are incredible and the handling is as one would expect from such a car, the acceleration is almost as good as my 911. My only complaints are that the glove box is a little small to be very useful, and the seats are a little hard to put in a comfortable position, maybe to many adjustments. Ive had only one small problem with the electrical system which was fixed under warranty. Excellent

After much research and driving most competing models, including BMW 5 series, Lexus LS 400, Mercedes e320, etc. the e430 proved to be the car for me. 30+ mpg hwy at 75 - 80 mph. Quiet, comfortable, most E320 options are standard. This car feels soft but as soon as you push it a bit in hunkers down and handles! Great stereo and seats! Find a reputable independent shop and maintain it well. Find a well maintained carfax certified model. Itll never be as care free as a Camry, but it will never drive like one either!

Ive only had this car for a few months but I have enjoyed driving it like no other. I previously had an 400E years ago and I couldnt wait to get another. I love this body style, even more so than the new E500. It is a very comfortable and family friendly car. There is plenty room in the back for car seats, DVD players, toys, etc. Also, the pickup is very good--it makes my last sports sedan, a BMW 528i, seem like a slug.

I must say after buying an E430 for the wife, I started saving for the E55. I was very impressed with the E430, but as an owner of a Ford 99 Cobra, I liked the speed and missed the ability to take a Vette at the light. I will never forget the day I bought my E55 (September 11, 2001) as it almost didnt happen. I cannot tell you how many thumbs ups I get from Vette Drivers at 120MPH! Everyone is VERY surprised thinking it is just a sedan!

This is my third Mercedes-Benz, but my first E Class (I am coming from owning two C Class 4Matic models). While the C was reliable and comfortable, I now understand why the E Class is always described as THE quintessential Mercedes-Benz. Even in the 350, there is an abundance of power, yet the car shifts and rides so smoothly; this car is consistently comfortable and enjoyable in which to drive and ride. As far as styling, I feel like Mercedes nails it. Other cars in this class either seem to go too modern, and the interiors end up looking like some Frankenstein monstrosity, or too conservative and stodgy. The E Class is a perfect blend of modern tech amenities and understated elegance; I love little touches like the analogue time piece in the center dash. I have seen others complain about the use of the COMAND system, but personally I find it very intuitive and user-friendly. While I am averaging about 29.0 MPG, I have achieved as much as 36.0 MPG on the highway, a nice perk I was not really expecting when buying the car. Also, even though I bought CPO with 28500 miles, the car looks, rides and smells brand new (always a great idea to find a CPO that was a personal lease; at 3 years old and with much of the depreciation hit already taken, I saved about 30K off MSRP). Ive had this car for about a month now, and I continue to look forward to each time I get behind the wheel.

I have had this car for almost one year and have not had any problems with it. Great car, good power, fun to drive and definitely a head turner.

This has to be the finest 4 place cabriolet ever built. I have had mine for right at 5 years now and every time I get in it to drive it I have to smile. Great gas mileage and once you upgrade the tires and wheels to 16 or 17inch it handles wonderfully. I have the sportline and would highly recommend that option. Not great rear leg room but it will do in a pinch. Engine is a great machine, I upgraded the rear end to a more aggressive gearing and now it performs like it should have from the factory.

Just bought the E550 4matic a week ago. Love the car. It came down to the audi A6 or 5 -series. This car is much better in both build and drive. The V8 is very fast and smooth. The HK sound is awesome. The Xenon lights are great! Once you use them, you wont like regular lights again. The only things I havent liked is the COMMAND function. Its ok to use. More complicated than it needs to be. The IPOD interface could be better. I got the sport edition. Not much difference in ride quality between sport and comfort modes. The car height feature is pretty cool when parking near a curb. It raises the car about an inch so you dont hit some concrete curb when you park.
