Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

The overlooked item - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By F.Dressler - May 9 - 10:00 amWe are all raving about the new E320/500. Has any one of you ever looked into the trunk. Yes it is now as large as in a VW, but the spare tire...a donut on a black rimm, What is becoming of MB.And try to get the tire out, you have dismantle the whole trunk.Very disappointing will not buy unless I get a full size matching wheel.

This car rocks! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By James - May 9 - 2:33 amSo far this has been a terrific car. The power is unlike any vehicle Ive ever driven. Believe everything you have read about this car; it boogies. The interior is different for me, having had SUVs and trucks. Cupholders and basic storage are the only downside. The build quality overall is impressive as is the overall comfort of driving. The driving experience is somewhat different because the brakes, gas pedal, and tranny are always "thinking" on how I am driving, etc, so it will take getting used to. It does drink the premium though. Also, the a/c is incredible, as in hang meat in the cabin cold. Stereo is OK...lots of gadgets overall. Its a beauty to look at too, makes me smile.

meh - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mark H. - May 7 - 11:20 amI test drove one of these and wasnt very impressed. The engine under load sounds like an overstressed rental car. If you dont need the space, the BMW 3-series diesel is a much better car for less money. Or take a look at the A6 TDI.

This car cant be over $60,000. - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By smherlin - May 2 - 2:00 amI have read the reviews and cant believe that no one has commented on how small the new E500 is. I had previously owned an E320 and loved it. The car is supposedly an inch bigger everywhere but the trunk and backseat are so small that I could not use it to take customers in. I just traded this car for an S430.

Bit disappointing - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By ttibio - April 20 - 9:39 amJust picked up a loaded, ordered spec 2014 E250. Selected this primarily for the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, diesel range and AWD. Cost not a particular concern. M-B USA definitely miss the point here for all their marketing prowess - international versions have smarter equipment choices. As everyone notes: no power folding mirrors!? Forget the rest of the gizmos, not being able to fold in mirrors easily in NYC in a luxury is incredible. Tiny nav screen, no available rear heated seats, old fashioned Apple 32-pin connector on s new 2014 model).. cmon how much are the bean-counters at M-B USA really saving here? Not a good first impression compared to my BMW Porsche or Range Rover.

Beautiful Design; Initial Problems Resolved - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By enthusiast897 - April 20 - 12:27 amI bought this car because of its truly beautiful lines. The car is a typical Mercedes---solid, airtight, good fit and finish. My car had some initial issues with rough shifting and Mercedes was able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. Overall, I think Mercedes builds solid, well designed cars and this model is a respectable entrant in the mid-size luxury sedan category.

Drive all day! - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By laselva - April 18 - 2:54 pmI liked this car and purchased this car 5 years used with only 32,000 miles on it, 7 weeks & 3,600 miles later, I love this car! Its quiet, well mannered (sport package) looks great, and wants to run at 80mph all day long...in fact it did. I just drove from Orange County to Sonoma last weekend and it was perfect. Quiet, great range (27.2 mpg at 75-80 mph with the a/c on) comfortable and solid feeling! I cant believe you can get all this car for the price of a Toyota Camry. The 7 speed automatic handled the I-5 grapevine with ease (rarely needed to brake coming down, and kept the cruise control on uphill)

So far, so great - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bsn 1 - April 16 - 10:00 amHave had this car for only 3k miles, but it is truly a joy to drive. I have encountered none of the computer/electrical problems-but its still early. Interior fit and finish is remarkable and upgraded wood grained steering wheel really dresses up the look. Drove 700 miles straight and instead of feeling like a whipped puppy, I played 9 holes of golf when I arrived!
