Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

E-320 review - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By tgstratton - June 17 - 10:00 amHave really enjoyed this car! A few problems with electronics that were promptly taken care of by the dealer. Very solid body, very good gas milage, excellent handling, braking etc. Excellent combination of performance while at same time very good economy. Will be on my "list" for consideration of a replacement car in the coming year.

Runs Like an Olympian - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Javierdpm - June 17 - 10:00 amFantastic car. My first MB experience and quite good. Im getting a new one later this year. Same performance as an SL55 with room for 5. Prefer Panorama Roof to an all out convertible.

MB does not live up to its reputation - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rockinrn - June 15 - 6:19 amI have waited for almost a year to write a review on my 2014 E350 with sport package in order to live with the car for a while and not make any hasty judgements. I have always wanted an E 350 and I regret to say that I am very disappointed. First I would like to say that the car does not exhibit the solidity that MBs are known for. My car has many creaks and rattles from the extensive plastic parts used in the interior. The standard seats are firm, but extremely uncomfortable; more uncomfortable than any car I have ever owned and I have owned over 20 new cars since I have been driving. The sport suspension is overly harsh. All in all very sad for a car costing $61,000. Beware of MB! Still cant wait for the lease to be over. Ill never buy or lease another Mercedes product.

A true sports sedan - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Alex - June 14 - 4:26 amBest part of this car on my first drive was, compare to E320 and E500 ( both I owned before) how stable this drive train is. Solid grip feel and very stable with no rocking motion side to side. surefooted to road. Engine sound make you want to drive around the town more, and it becomes very addictive. Engine is remarkably responsive and with slight touch of the acceleartor car takes off leaving other cars behind the back mirror. Its totally effortless. No wonder with that much power. Nothing like E500 I had, much more responsive.

Rolling Passion - 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By don1978 - June 13 - 7:38 amDriving this automobile has been an absolute joy. It hasnt always been smooth sailing. Have had to replace a motor mount and alternator; booth covered under warranty. Other than that its been very reliable and has allowed me many enjoyable miles to reflect on what this car is really about. It does everything well. Sure a BMW 5-series will out handle this car but as a whole this rolling rocket is pure solid power wrapped in a much more elegant package. While driving you can feel as though the engineers have spent many sleepless nights designing this car; sweating every detail. Overengineered and it shows. Passion for their craft has inspired me. I Will have this car a very long time.

My Opinion - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bigtee - June 8 - 10:00 amVery good MPG (almost 25 commuting, near 30 on the interstates) and solid feel. Super ride.

Happy with the Benz - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Steve in ICT - June 8 - 10:00 amSo far, its great. Ive only had my E- 320 Sedan for 2 months, but overall I love it. I switched from a Lexus LS400 that was comfortable but not "fun" to drive and was a gas guzzler. This car is fuel efficient, fun to drive, and turns heads. The features are fine -- I miss heated seats (I bought a 1998 used with out that option) but the dual climate control makes up for it. Very good sound system, very comfortable seats, excellent safety features.

Fix the breaks! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By kingw - June 4 - 10:00 amthe cars interior and exterior are very stylish and impressive. the car rides smoothly and feels heavy on the road. its definitely an eye turner with the new re-design. however, it lacks the over quality of mercedes due to many of the "electronic sensing" functions in the car. the brakes are the biggest disappointment along with the lack of acceleration when turning the car and depressing the accelerator at speeds of around 30mph

Poorly design and manufactured vehicle - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By duel1013 - June 2 - 7:01 pmNothing but failures, suspension, AC/Heat, computer, sensors, on and on. When running the car is a joy to drive. However, the maintenance expense before and after the warranty is the worst I have ever experienced in all my years of owning cars. The experienced has been nothing but a let down of my expectations of owning a certified pre-owned vehicle with less than 20,000 miles when I purchased it. Definitely has lowered my opinion of the franchise.
