Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • A good car that should have been great. - 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

It is an expensive car. It is technologically far more complicated than it should have been. Simple maintenance is very expensive. The warrantee should be longer with maintenance included. The electronics are badly designed. The NAVI system is incredible complicated. I will often use my smart phone instead when needing an address. I wrote the new young president of my concern. As yet no response. I guess they are tied up with the new stadium.

  • Rust - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Have taken great care of this car. Only has 120,000 miles and the body is starting to rust really bad. This car has been washed and not in Michigan winters but for only about 5 years. I have been told that this happens allot because of the poor quality of the steel they used in 1999. Is anyone else having some of the same problems. What is Mercedes doing to help repair these cars rust problems.

  • Im keeping it. - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I just love this car. Smooth ride, quiet, great on ice and snow, and very quick. No mechanical problems besides ordinary maintainence.

  • Best ever - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Have owned most styles of American Luxury cars and enjoyed each. The E320, however, is a step above in quality of construction, more than adequate power, feeling of safety, handling and just fun to drive. Will buy another.

  • love it! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

So far this car is so much fun. It seems to have tremendous accelerating power and it drives like a dream. It has the sport package and the Conti tires, but it still drives very quietly and feels like total luxury. I just came out of a truck so maybe I just dont notice what the other reviewers are talking about. I chose all black with black birdseye, with premium I, and this car is HOT! So far its great but I dont have a grip on the mpg yet. So far its reading 21 on the display and Ive been doing mixed driving. Hopefully I will see 25+ on the hwy like others have said. I almost went with another brand, glad I chose the E-class Mercedes. Looking forward to seeing the all new 2010.

  • Extraordinary Automobile! - 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

My 2009 E320 BlueTec is a superb automobile. Subtle yet classy styling (black exterior/interior/wood trimmed steering wheel) that always draws compliments. Extraordinary performance (400 ft-lbs of torque mean effortless acceleration - the power surge is like a locomotive). Unbelievable economy (Im averaging 33 mpg over 25,000 miles of mixed city/highway driving in the Washington DC area). Comfortably seats four adults - meaning large adults! - and can accommodate five. Huge trunk. Smooth, quick, confidence- inspiring, so solid it literally feels like a single piece of steel. This car is an absolute bargain and I never thought Id say that about a $50K purchase.

  • 97 e320 awsome car - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This is a Nice car and fun to drive I have had it for 3 years and abuse it on cornering and accelerating. Engine and suspension have not failed! Of course their are some repairs, water pump fuel pump and minor things that might be expensive.. But this is not a car for the poor. I love this car and I installed a turbo and engine has not failed at 190,000 miles... Its not what the car is worth if you love the car their is no price.

  • so far so good - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I have had my Mercedes for about two weeks and love it! I chose a midnight blue color that is stunning! The cockpit size interior is very comfortable!

  • Wow-should have purchased sooner! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Purchased CPO and it is exactly like brand new and considerably less $ Should have purchased it sooner as it is both sporty and luxurious and looks and drives like three times what I paid for it!

  • Mechanical Mess - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

We have now had our new E350 sport sedan back at the dealer for the fourth time to fix a "SRS Malfunction" In total, the car has been in the shop about three weeks. Totally unacceptable and hardly what we expected from a MB.
