Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

E320 Review - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mattie Taylor - September 30 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd E320. I bought the first one to hit the dealers floor in Oct. 1993. Bought a 2000 in Oct. 1999 and now own a new 2004. I looked at other cars but have not yet found one that tops this model. The ladies that bought my 1994 and my 2000 are still enjoying the cars. Have a waiting list already of friends who want my 2004. Handles like a dream, makes perfect responses to driving emergencies, always feel very safe and under control. Great car.

Very Pleased - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By BenzHappy - September 27 - 10:00 amThis car has it all - looks, style, comfort and performance. Inside and out, it is the best looking sedan on the market today. Sure, you pay a little premium, but that is more than offset by the quality and extremely high resale value. I have never owned a Mercedes - buying BMWs, Lexus, Jags and Porsches in the past. I have been pleasantly surprised with the E and see myself in Benzs in the future. PS - has anyone seen what BMW is doing with their cars lately - what is up with that (inside AND out)!!!!

Fast & Beautiful - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Jon Chancellor - September 24 - 5:46 pmHave a new E550 coupe with Premium 2 package. This is a major upgrade from my GS430. The car handles like a sports car in sport mode. Can immediately tell the changes in injection/shift points as well as suspension stiffening. The new tan color interior is awesome! Seats are phenomenal. Trying to master the Command system--getting better at it each day. I was looking at the Lexus460,the BMW5series and the Jaguar XF premium. Drove them all and chose this coupe. Cost less and is quicker. Not bad on the eyes either. Just test drive the competition and then drive the E550 coupe. And no, I dont work for MB. Jon C./Tulsa

LOVE THIS CAR! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By TL05 - September 21 - 9:56 pmThis is the first time I have bought a MB. We were looking for a Coupe. We tried the 335, too small. Drove a A5. It was OK, but just OK. Then we walked into a MB Dealer. They had just received their first 10 Coupe that day. We loved it! Over the next 2 weeks, we took 3 test drives and thought it was great. We now have it 2 weeks and love it more. Car drives great. Love the Interior and Exterior. The Sound System is unbelievable. We do get looks from people and have been told that it is just beautiful. We made the right decision.

Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Kevin - September 19 - 7:06 pmBought for $22K. Wiring Harness is the only major issue ever ($1,700 to fix). This car regularly travels 800 mi RT to Gulf Shores, 300 mi RT to Spartanburg...and she just is great on the highway. Avg fuel is 28 in the city and 34 on the highway. Ive put 120K miles on this car and she now has 223K total miles. Even my mechanic thinks this is an awesome car.

Great car! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rufino - September 16 - 9:26 pmAn extraordinary car! When I bought it, I knew it was a dream. It has great stability. The comfort is great. On the road, its smooth and gets great mileage. The other day on a 2 hour trip, I got 410 miles on a tank with 28.5 mpg. I hadnt filled the tank in 1 week and 2 days. I love the sport package and the bi- xenon lights. Great everything! The trunk is enormous.

MERCEDES E 400 SPORT SEDAN: PURE PERFECTION!!! - 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By abacomike - September 9 - 11:24 pmI just bought my 9th E Class Sedan on December 12th, 2014 - a 2015 E 400 Sedan. Like all E Class Sedans Ive owned and driven, its a pleasure to drive, however the new Twin-Turbo V-6 Engine is a true performer (329 hp 354 lb ft torque). After driving the new E 400 for 5 weeks now, Im getting 31.8 mpg highway and 20 mpg city with a combined average of 24.2 mpg. Power, performance and superb handling are not sacrificed at all with the new high mpg power plant. This is the best automobile I have ever driven! Standard Features are abundant and I ordered the car with every available option. The car handles so beautifully. I recommend ordering the 19" optional wheels - better handling!

Nice Car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Buck - September 8 - 9:06 pmJust returned from a 2,000 trip, Im a bit disappointed with the fuel mileage. Even when using every trick to coax better mileage from the car, the best I saw on the highway was 34 mpg, it was usually less than that. The fit and finish of the vehicle are excellent. Im not a big fan of the HVAC controls, the dials adjust the temp in 2 degree increments, sometimes its hard to get just the right temp. Ive seen reviews that indicate its too easy to confuse the turn signal with the cruise control stalk, and even after 3 months with the car, I still occasionally mix them up. The car is an excellent long-range cruiser, very comfortable.
