Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

No regrets - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Carlos - April 11 - 10:33 amHave never really been a fan of Mercedes Benz, too boxy looking. Thought it was like driving a good truck. Must say this new 2007 E350 is awesome. I love the new redesign. Finally Mercedes is on the right track. Drives like a dream and really hugs the road and with the sports package. It has nothing to envy compared to the BMW. I just upgraded from my Lexus 430 smooth ride, but the Mercedes is a lot more fun to drive. Especially impressed with the 268hp V-6. Excellent pick up and go!

Great car but behind the times - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By E350Sport - April 6 - 4:00 pmI love my new E350 with the sport package. Although the exterior is great, MB falls short in the interior amenities. Horrendous Nav, No bluetooth/ipod. My Lexus blows away the Benz in the interior styling

The Regal E500 Sedan - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mercedes Masterpiece - March 19 - 10:30 amI have driven 3 Mercedes, ML320, ML65, E320 4matic. The E500 is by far the best Mercedes I have ever owned. I love the luxury which the ML lacked. The reduction in wood on the doors is, in my opinion, a loss of style. The performance is okay. I will buy a Mercedes forever.

Mercedes are terrific cars and when purchased used can be great Value! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By justmyopinion - March 15 - 11:38 pmAfter buying my first Mercedes in 1997 E320 brand new, we became Mercedes bigots. Why, Looked and rode as good in 2009 when we sold it as when we bought it even with its 250km badge on the grill. In 2009, $60+k wasnt in the cards for a new Mercedes, & we discovered how many cars are leased these days coming off in 2 to 3 years with low miles and another 3 years on warranty. We found a 2007 E350 with 33k miles in great shape with all maint records in Mercedes dealer computer and paid $27k Out the Door. Here almost 5 years later we have $96k miles and no problems. We plan to buy our next Mercedes in 2019, maybe upgrading to a 2016 S class that will last us through our retirement.

engine racket on start up - 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By mitchellrowe - March 7 - 1:56 pmbest guess is intermittent defective oil pump . on half the start ups ( cold or hot ) , loud valve taps / rattle ... most likely due to oil lying in the oil pan . seems an odd explanation , as benz uses synthetic oil that sticks to moving parts ?

This is my last Mercedes - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mark B. - March 5 - 2:00 amMy Lexus sedans were boring and lacked excitement, but I never once experienced a problem with those cars. This E500 is beautiful, but I have spent weeks at the dealership. My problems center on the audio / computer system. The Logic 7 sound system is pathetic. My biggest concern is the defective SOS system that doesnt work. This is a life saving device and MUST work; I smell a class action lawsuit! The funniest part about this whole experience, is listening to the service manger complain about the amount of time his staff has spent. I paid $65k for this fine German automobile, and this car should be flawless.

4 cylinder luxury vehicle - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MTCS - February 25 - 12:33 amThe 2014 E250 Bluetec 4matic has a vibration at higher speeds that sometimes goes away once the car finds the right gear. I have 700 miles and the computer on the dash says I am getting 34.5mpg. The car gets over 40 mpg on the highway easily. I bought the2014 E250 Bluetec for the fuel efficiency, the longevity, and it is the only E class they had that still has the 3 point star on the hood. I have read all the horror stories about Mercedes Benz but at 700 miles I have not had a single problem. I think I will keep this one for a long time.

Bank vault solid! - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By chustein - January 21 - 2:00 amThis wagon runs very smoothly, has bank vault built quality, and gives me the comfort and satisfactory ownership experience that is second to none. The space is humongous, yet the exterior remains a classic beauty. 4MATIC runs great in wet, and the team work between a powerful V-6 and a 5- speed automatic transmission is seamless. Safety features best in the business. This bank vault quality german machinery piece of art is worth every hard earned penny of mine when bought used.
