Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • The best or nothing? - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

My glamorous E 320 @ 38k miles start to show rust bubbles all over the body and cracks around the passenger air bag on the dashbord, the wood finish on the center console is peeling out, the turn signal is loose from the base, I must say that this car is garage kept and no winters what so ever! so when I call MB they request pictures of the car, no problem, then Mary call me and refuse my claim saying that the car was too old to help me, I explain that I have a ML with more miles and no rust and there are more cars like mine around the globe with the same problems and how MB help them out again the anwer was no and also the supervisor said no!

Good performance car. Has been racing with it for a while. Not my last MB, but needs improvements.

I bought this car at least 3 years ago with 50,000. Yes, 50,000 from a lady in Encino who passed away. It has not given me ONE PROBLEM other than scheduled issues. My Mom drives it and has put on at least 30 to 40k. I cannot express to you enough how well built these cars are.

I purchased my E320 in April of 2011 so Ive owned mine now for about 14 Months. I purchased this car out of Necessity since our business sucked since 10 & 11 and I didnt want a car payment. I purchased this car from my mom and yes, I knew that she dose not take care of a car but I took it becase they sold it to me for 4 K. I didnt know it at the time but this car was in sad shape and it took 3 grand to get it back so it was no deal and I still have to paint it but you know what, If a car can take what my mom did to that car Mercedes is one hell of a car maker! This car is comfortable, trouble free and still looks good for a 12 year old car. I will keep it for two or three more years!

  • Disappointing - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I’ve always wanted a Mercedes. To me, they were the epitome of luxury cars. Im sorry to say I have been terribly disappointed. For what I paid I expected a top of the line vehicle, but got far less than I could have gotten from a new Camry. To start with, the navigation system is very important to me, yet the E320 has no touch screen, no voice command, not even blue tooth (some Japanese economy cars have blue tooth). In fact, the processor is so slow it can’t present but a few streets at a time, and has no readable compass in the nav mode. No right arm rest for the driver if you use the cup holder. I could go on but space is limited. I wish I hadn’t given up my Camry for this car.

  • Impressions after 3 months - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

E550 coupe beautiful to look at and super light on its feet. Sleek and such a head turner Ive only seen one other in my large city in 3 months. What I dont like- I hate the Eco mode and that it cant be turned off permanently. Its smooth as silk when riding in comfort mode- you hardly notice it but if you are like me and like to drive it in sports mode you wont be happy. Its a obvious feeling/ sound. I now just turn it off nearly every start because I mainly drive I. The city and its just annoying to have it power down each stop. Internet radio is a waste- it takes like 5 min to get a signal and forget changing the Chanel it has to reload all over again.

This car looks and feels great. Its eye catching, and sturdy. The V6 can hold its own but the maintenance especially the electrical problems are killing A dashboard light comes on every month. Notorious problems include faulty EGR valves, sensors, bulbs and a shoddy Bose stero system. Ive owned the car for 8 months and have spent about 2k in minor repairs.

  • If you can do it - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Although a push financially, the E55 is a monster swaddled in Armani. An understated, elegant, every day driver that will dust anything that challenges the "55" nameplate. And they will challenge it. Think of a brand new Aston Martin Vanquish pulling up hard on your right, the light changes and the Vanquish is "Vanquished" three car lengths behind. Hard to put a price tag on that moment. I couldnt. The E55 has cult status. Everyone asks,"Can it really do what they say it can". Yes. Yes it can. And then some. If youre throwing your hat in the super performance car ring, the E55 has to be considered. It can haul kids, signifcant others, friends to dinner, as well as plain out "haul".

  • MBZ and I like IT!!!!! - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I bought this car from San Ramon German Motors. It had 22000 miles when I got it. It has 25k now. Awsome car. The sound system is remarkable. The interior is well layed out. Everything is were you need it. I especially like the Adjustable seats. The integrated key and infrared fob thing is one of the best parts....No seperate fob. (jay)

  • Most fun luxury sedan/check engine light - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I turn heads and people cant believe what you can get them for. However, my gripe is that in six months, it has been in to the dealership five times at least. Starmark is great but beware many things are not covered, I have paid $1000 out of pocket already and claimed $2000 more. And I also have the popping seat frame on acceleration etc. as another reviewer mentioned.(not covered by starmark). This is truly a love/hate relationship and my local service dept. hasnt impressed me with misdiagnoses only to be fixed at another dealership. Hope you all wont be as unlucky as me. In closing though this car is a wonderful combination of luxury and sport feel.
