Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Get ready for headaches!!! - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By steven e - March 16 - 2:00 amextremely frustrated . I have had annoying problems ever since buying. Passenger side mirror popped out when a child brushed with a knapsack. Had to have an entire new unit. new retaining clip would have worked. Pneumatic seat controls went with a $700 repair quote. Driving light bulb had to be replaced requiring a lift to get the car high enough to remove panels. Single windshield wiper is a royal pain. If there is not quite enough water on the window, the wiper skips across. A couple of hours of that will make you put a gun in your mouth!

The best selling Mercedes! - 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By So.Cal_Benzo - March 15 - 10:00 amIve had this car for 2 years and it is perfect! It is a heavy car, but with an excellent V6 engine pushing out 217hp with 229 lb/ft of torque this car really goes, especially on the freeway. The passing power of this car is superb! It is built for the German Autobahn and its like a beast on the Freeway!

In a class by itself - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By RobL - March 14 - 12:43 pmTraded a 2009 BMW 528xi after 4 months for this car. Even in non-sport models, BMWs are still race cars (I dont care what anyone says). Theyre louder, firmer and difficult to drive long distances with one hand. Gets a little tiring. Enter the E550. This is a true luxury car: quiet, smooth, very fast, rides like a dream. Put the suspension and transmission in sport mode and itll take on any BMW. When you calm down again, flip it back to comfort mode and enjoy. Amazing! My wife gave the gas a good stab to pass another car and said she couldnt stop giggling for minutes afterward. This car is seriously fast!

My 11th mercedes - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By tim everett - March 11 - 7:53 pmi have owned my 05 E320 for six months and 13k miles. It is visually delightful-much more so than my 01 E 320-both inside and out. The car can best be described as seamless and unobtrusive. I own a ferrari and a zippy 911 which dont get much use because this car is so pleasant to drive. The power is very adequate, climate control is perfect, ride feels like an easy chair and the handling is nimble. I am on a three year lease and cant wait to get the E 350.

Like the Car - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Edward - March 9 - 4:50 amI bought this vehicle last week and have driven 500 miles to date. Saturday I drove some rugged mountain roads and found the car ro handle great. Mileage was good but not enough experience to judge accurately. The seats are not as comfortable as the Lexus I traded and the cabin is smaller. Leg support could be improved. Like lthe ride and handling.

Favorite car Ive ever owned - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By david - March 7 - 3:40 amI bought this car at 58K miles a few years ago. Yes Ive had to put some $ into it, (belt pulley, spring housing, alternator, fuel pump, O2 sensor, and it went through a major light bulb replacement phase) but I have to say that I love the car. Neighbor owns a repair shop that specializes in high- line foreign cars, so any time I notice anything out of sorts I send it to work for the day with him. It is now at 121K and still runs like a top. Im fairly certain that I can get another 120K out of it (unless my neighbor retires). I hope they are still building the 2010 E-Class like they did in 99... Hoping I can pick one of those up in a few years.

MB E350 sedan - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By retfalvi - March 5 - 8:30 amTurned back from Audi to Mercedes and I do not regret it. I was hunting for the right car for a while...I found it in this MB. It is the absolute pleaser in every possible ways. Ride, comfort, appearance are all in balance. I dont think you could go wrong with this car.

My 2003 Merc - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Rajan - March 2 - 2:00 amDrives well, Brakes superiorly. Lacks a litle space in the back. Maybe another 2 to 3 inces of leg spaces would make it a true competitor to the S-Class.
