Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Absolute Dream Car- 2005 e-320 4matic - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Robert @ Providence, RI - November 24 - 7:10 amHave had my car for six months and have put 4000 miles on it, making 49,000 on a 2005 Model. It runs flawlessly and each time I turn the key is a joy. I only drive it locally in Rhode Island and have an excellent neighborhood Garage to perform required maintenance. Owner/Master Mechanic said,"You dont ever want to sell this car. It is in great condition!" And I wont...

Beware of Starmark - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By yvonne963 - November 20 - 2:40 amBought my 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class with a Certified Pre-Owned Starmark warranty. After three weeks it would "miss" or hesitate at 45 - 55 MPH. My dealer said that the fuel return hoses clogged. They would not fix this problem under warranty and said it was not part of the Starmark pre-sale inspection. I had it fixed by my independent mechanic at cost of $800. the entire mainfold was fouled with carbon buildup at only 45,000 miles. My mechanic says that this is a common problem on this non-turbo engine. Its a poor design, in his words. The glow plugs were "frozen" in place by this carbon build up. I have corresponded with my selling dealer and Mercedes-Benz USA, both wished me a happy holidays. This is my sixth and last Benz.

A Great car - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Wade C - November 19 - 9:06 amThis car replaced my 2000 E430. Much more power, with a much sportier feel. Got the sport package which is a free option this year. Tremendous exterior finish. The old car drove like a golf cart with immediate response and acceleration. The new one provides extraordinary power without realizing it due to the lack of jerks forward or acceleration kicks. Interior controls take a bit of instruction, but all are aimed to make sure the driver is comfortable. I have one in black and white exactly as pictured. Beautiful car with no performance disappointments. Highly recommend the voice control to bypass complex controls.

My 550 4 Matic - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Kel - November 18 - 7:51 amThis is the first Mercedes Ive owned. It is a really nice car. However, if you are looking for a smoother ride, you may want to consider a Lexus. Dont get me wrong it does ride nice in terms of minimal road noise, great sound system and solid handling feel, but It is a little firm. All in all it is a really nice vehicle. Word of caution if you are not going to keep it for an extended period of time (5 years of more) then buy it CPO/Used because the depreciation on this car will shock you! Originally purchased it 18 months ago for 78k (loaded), and today it is only worth 44K!!! I know it shocked me too. 34K drop in only a year and a half! So.... But you wont be disappointed with the vehicle. It is a dream to drive. Good luck!

2002 Mercedes C-320 Wagon -37,000 miles - 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bill Gesham - November 16 - 9:36 amI purchased this Mercedes with 37,000 miles from a dealer whose wife had been driving it. Mileage is 21.5 to 28 MPG. It is a joy to drive on trips and around town as a daily driver. The sport package is worth the cost. It handles great. The 320 engine is strong and has good acceleration when passing or entering interstate on ramps. The car would be fun to drive with a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. As it is, it is a sleeper and will jump any 3 series BMW. Room in the car is more than adequate with the storage space being a strong point. Interior is comfortable. The Bose audio system with the disc changer is a real value and is superb in sound and function. At $16,000 it was a great value.

Wonderful car with one problem so far - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Robert Russell - November 15 - 4:36 amI enjoy the E350. it is my third E Class Mercedes. The only problem has been with the transmission which was fixed under warranty by a dealer in Hyannis MA. It required an overnight at the dealer while the part was shipped in. Since then I have driven the car cross country to Arizona and had no problems. The sound system and my Sirius radio are wonderful. I also got over 31 MPG on the trip.

Well Done - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bob of Michigan - November 15 - 12:03 amLooking at Consumer Reports, I was very concerned with the reliabilty of purchasing a MB as 2004-2006 quality rating were dismal. However, my wife always wanted a Benz and glad we did! Car rides and drives like a dream. Best brakes and overall very solid. Its been 18 months with +20k miles without any incident other than having the oil changed.
