Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

My 2014 E350 Coupe - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Robert - May 17 - 7:14 amThis is my first Mercedes and I couldnt be happier! I purchased it CPO with 30K miles on it and it drives and looks like a brand new car. My E350 coupe is white with tan leather interior, the 2014s have the refreshed look so it looks like the newer models. The build and drive are simply exceptional. This car still looks like a $65,000.00 dollar although I paid 1/2 the price. I have owned it for about 2 months and I still smile every time I get behind the wheel, it corners very well and has really good pick-up but its more of a grand touring car with a ton of luxury features. If you are looking for a reliable, great looking and fun to drive coupe, the 2014 E350 should be on your short list....FYI; getting it 3 years old with about 30K miles on it will also save you about 50% off MSRP. I loveeeeeee my E350 coupe and I love every aspect of this car, I have zero concerns.

MBE350 Sport - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By tomboy - May 13 - 10:13 pmLoved the appearance of as the new E Class. Test drove the car in Florida where the roads are relatively flat and in good condition. Drove the car to the Midwest where roads are rough. Liked the ride in Fl, dislike the ride in WI. Suspension too stiff on the sport and frankly very noisy on bumpy roads. Tires may be a factor. Liked my C300 ride better! MB must change the suspension or lose customers in the future. I have a three year lease but will try to trade out come fall. Our second car is a 2010 Passat. I rather drive the Passat. Better ride at half the price. Go Figure.

They really scored on this car - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By tyler5656 - May 9 - 5:53 pmWell where to start? This car has so many features from the electronic stability control (esp) to its Bose surround sound system. What a smooth shifting transmission. Big difference from that old 4 speed to the new and improved 5 speed with auto stick. And the 4 wheel fully independent suspension faculties and ABS brakes.

Stay away from this car - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By george219 - May 6 - 5:32 pmOur car had issues as soon as we drove it off the lot, loose parts, noises, uncomfortable seat, rough/unpredictable transmission shifting, and vibration. We did not test drive the car beforehand because we are very familiar with the car having driven several over the years. The first week we had it (and if you have any issues, immediately turn around and get your money back) it was in service, loose parts fixed, two new tires, reprogrammed transmission. Still vibrated, still shifted poorly, so it went back again and again, all four tires have been replaced and the MB "expert" attributes the vibration to "road feel" which is most certainly is not. Car still shifts unpredictably at times.

Sweet Luxury - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Docmartin9 - May 5 - 8:43 pmThe engine and transmission are fantastic. The power is smooth, ample and desceptive. The car is so quiet you dont realize how fast you are going untill you look at the speedo. The ride is smooth as silk but a bit detached. BMW550 handles way better but the interior was too plastic and cheap looking for $70K. You also have to deal with the idrive. This is luxury with muscle.

E500 AMG Sport - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By J. David Zubas - May 5 - 12:20 amThis is my first Mercedes and what a delight so far. I bought the E500 with the AMG Sport package (larger tires, special alloy wheels, E55 body panels, dual exhausts extensions, etc). The sport package really sets off the looks by giving it a bit more aggressive look while improving the handling of the car. It is very smooth and powerful for a car with just over 300 HP. This is the first new car that I have owned that has not needed any oil added so far (over 8K miles) based on the electronic oil measuring system.

A++ Super Car - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By 2000E430Sport - May 4 - 2:00 amI got my E430 Sport for my wife for Valentine. We had put over 6K miles on the vehicle without any issues. I love the interior and I still have heads turn as I drive for the weekend. The power of the V-8 is excellent. I wish it could respond faster in auto mode, I have to shift if I want to run a little faster hihi. The car is ROCK SOLID at 100+ MPH. Looking forward to more pleasure date with the car. Only oil is Mobil1 syntec, could be costly, but the end resolve is

Teutonic Elegance.....but will it last? - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Don Levison - May 3 - 1:13 pmMy wife and I both love the car. Although a utilitarian vehicle, we sometimes think were driving a sports car. The interior comfort, ride and handling cant be beat. Our car was described by Mercedes technicians and sales reps as "bullet proof". Mechanically, it has been, but if only they had kept the electronics simple and more reliable. The car regularly flashes inappropriate warning lights on the dash, emits "beeps" while driving with no known reason and the satellite radio has been erratic and unreliable. To check the oil level, you need to access the owners manual and go through a series of commands to reach the correct screen. Overall, a great car. We just hope it holds up.

Expensive with Chrysler Quality - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Eds - April 28 - 2:00 amI have owned this car for just under 3 years. Next week it goes back in again for service, I have a total of 18 defectives, more than 3 other cars combined over 10 years. I think Mercedes has recreated the electrical system problems that Jaguar was known for in the past...... This car needs to be sold before the warranty ends. My impression is Mercedes does not care.
