Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

My new E320 CDI - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By azdskin - August 29 - 10:00 amThis is my first Mercedes Benz vehicle and I love it. The 3.2-liter turbo diesel is very fast and powerful. The fuel economy is awesome, 27mpg in the city and 35mpg on the hwy. There is no annoying diesel chatter or smell.

This is it for me! - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Hoops McCann - August 22 - 4:50 pmEverything about this vehicle is wonderful. Mercedes hit a home run with model. I owned a Saab 900 Turbo for 17 yrs. (276K on the clock) and was sad to see it go. Thought Id never find a car with the same reliability. Even though its 8 years old, I still get the looks of "Wow!"

Best Mercedes Ive ever owned. - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Ray in NH - August 22 - 3:56 pmI have owned one ML, two C-Class, four E-Class, two SL-Class,and two S- Class. This is the best all-round Mercedes I have owned. (The best best was the 1997 S-600). This car is faster than most sedans, and the engine is really really quiet. No one who drives with me knows it is a diesel. I tell them it is a diesel after I snap their head back while getting on the highway. Most people dont know that while driving in comfort mode, the car leaves a stopped position in second gear because of the high tourque level in this vehicle.

Great Performance and Style - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By BobFV - August 20 - 2:00 amIts my fist Mercedes - very elegant with a sporty flavor - the back seat is a bit cramped for our teenager. The finish and appointments are excellent. Another 50 HP would be nice - its heavy and it doesnt exactly jump off the line. Great, solid ride!

Fun to Drive - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By vicv - August 19 - 1:46 pmWe picked up my wifes E-350 at the factory and enjoyed driving it in Germany & Austria. And the experience is wonderful. The car is very, very tight, confident and comfortable. It was a delight on the autobahns as well as tooling around those tight streets in small bergs. BUT, we found out that the American and Canadian versions have port fuel injection while the European versions have direct injection. So, recommend anyone contemplating a new E, postpone your purchase until the Germans give us just as good technology as they give their own buyers or buy another brand that values us.

Nav system is an antique - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bill - August 17 - 2:06 pmThe E320 CDI is very fuel efficient and fun to drive, but the transmission has occassional problems. Slipping during takeoff which my dealer says is normal. Styling is rather bland. Seats could stand to be a little more comfortable. The lumbar support should be power and easier to reach. My biggest complaint is the antique nav system. Somebody must have bought these on a $59 closeout. Charging $2900 for this system should be a felony. Its an unbelievably antiquated system with few features, no touch screen, and no voice command. Also theres no bluetooth unless you buy their phone. I own a 2007 Toyota Camry that blows this car away with superior luxury features. Sorry MB, you need to catch up

Antiseptic - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mr. Lee - August 15 - 10:00 amWonderful car for hauling clients and family. Stability control intervenes on any fun. Acceleration which once was blazing is now considered merely above average with new offerings from MB, Audi, and Porsche, and of course rumors of the new BMW M5 and M3. Still one of the best values in luxury automobiles. Now if we can just put the supercharger from the 04 model on this one, it would have a power to weight ratio of a 911 turbo.

Best Benz - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By R.W. Murray - August 14 - 4:50 amMy Benz is the best driving car I have owned. Cornering and braking are excellent. A Little more space in the "E" would be a plus.
