Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • Solid car after break-in gremlins - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

One of 1st 2003 E-320s delivered in my city, the car had electrical, computer/mechanical probs with climate control, airbags; rear window sunscreen. Engine computer problems. BUT -after the post-delivery gremlins were fixed, car has been reliable ever since. Great cruiser and easy to handle in stop-and-go traffic. 30 mpg on 400 mile trip- cruising 80+ mph. Overall,my E-320 is winning me back. Dealership is excellent.

  • Mixed Bag of Tricks & Treats - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Our 2000 Desert Silver E320 is great fun to drive. It is a wolf in sheeps clothing. When driven easily, it is quiet & dignified. However, stomp on the gas or use the manual-shift feature & the car takes off like a rocket. Handling is also superb. Interior design is traditional Mercedes and looks like a million bucks as does the exterior (particularly the front-end). While the powertrain & cosmetics are first- rate, the electronics need much improvement in the way of reliability. Most recently, the CD player has stopped working. The radio unit thinks that the CD magazine is empty when it is full. Result? CD player inoperative. The 2003 E-class does not look as good (inside & out). Great car.

  • Awesome beast - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The is an awesome beast of a luxury machine. I wanted to get a plate that says, "Hemi this". It is a fine automobile that is a straight line racer that takes the back seat to none on the highway.

  • Fabulous Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

E500 performance is awesome. I have a 1999 E320 that I thought had a lot of performance but the 2003 E500 has taken me to another level. In 4 years, I havent had one thing go wrong with the E320. The E500 is much roomier in the passenger compartment as well as the huge trunk. The car corners beautifully with the 3-level selectable stiff ride. I did not get the sports package because I think the car is sporty without it and the price of the sports package is high for what you get. Also, I dont like the hard riding performance tires that come with the sports package; they make a lot of noise and wear out quickly.

  • The New Dream Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Drives as smooth as silk, quiet, handling and suspension is awesome. The first impression is the nice change in exterior body style. The front section looks space age with smooth lines consealing any front bumper. Xenon headlamps that blend so well with the body that it looks truly artistic. The interior is the captivating with the instrument panel, walnut trim and ergonomic design that wraps around the driver. The overhead lighting, the 10 sound speakers, the instrument panel all have been designed in harmony. What a dream, its got to be the best E class ever.

  • Its OK - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I purchased the car with 23000 miles (certified). The ride is good, and it drives well. The engine strains somewhat. A good road car.

  • Can spend more, but cant do better - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Updated review. Car improves with age. Ride is much better, not harsh like other German or soft like Lexus. Very comfortable on long or short trips. Everything works exactly as it should; even A/C is 100+ temps and 90% humidity. Makes me feel great every time I look at it, sit in it and drive it. All of my relatives and friends are greatly impressed by what it offers.

  • Outstanding Car - 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car has so many features for the money that I am thinking about going back to the dealer to offer them more money. I will probably resist that temptation.

  • Bad MBZusa service and warranty - 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I have believed MB but so disapointed this time when the engine blowed out at 31000 miles, a screw linked gear and oil pump got broken then oil pump stopped working......... while there is no engine oil pressure indicator! I got a lemon car with poor assembling quality but MBZusa didnt want to be responsible for their design failure as well as manufacturing failure. Buy BMW!, it is much better in quality and service, I have had a 525i since 1990 and have no problem.

  • WHAT A CAR MBZ E350 - 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Finally got back to MBZ E350 2013. What a car from the past ones I have had. This car is as smooth as butter when driving and not only that but the 4000.00 premium luxury package we got with it is the best. All around I am in heaven with this beauty. Comfort, security, the SOUND, you feel like your are in the concert when you listen to the CDs or DVDs . The best of the best for me and the family, Great job MBZ. You will not be disappointed when buying or leasing this baby .
