Traded 2009 Porsche 911 Cab PDK on this. 911 great but rough ride and hard egress/exit. Mercedes is a great all around car. If you really arent ever going on a track, this is the perfect car. Very torquey V8, brisk in normal or sport mode. Tip-in and shifting very aggressive in sport mode. A quality car with great electronics. I have 1400 songs on 1 8.5 Gig DVD, Player will take 5 more!! Transmission is not as good as Porsche PDK, but way more than you need for aggressive road driving. Exhaust note is a pleasure. I think Mercedes gets it, and Im glad I got it!

  • Nice Car - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Have had two Lexus ES350 and one RX350. All were nice, but the RX wasnt the good quality as expected, and was boring. My wife loved the RX, so it took some prodding to change. So far we have 900 mi on the MB E350 and it is much more fun to drive with good quality. Will likely miss the Lexus free maintenance, but this car seems worth it. Very quiet, great music system, nav, etc. The panorama sunroof sold my wife, but it uses a screen to keep out sunlight instead of a solid cover. So in Texas the screen allows some heat through. Keep that in mind. A/C is extremely cold though, so no worries. The Command interface works well for me. Transmission lever is cool but different.

  • Impressive Sport Sedan - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Have had the new car for a little more than a week and am extremely pleased so far. Great blend of luxury and sport. Car feels more substantial than expected for a mid-sized sedan. Airmatic suspension works very well and provides nice option for luxury vs sport in the same car. Interior is incredibly well done. Very comfortable and extremely well appointed with all the current gadgets. Exterior styling is sleek and sporty. Rear end styling could be better, but generally like it overall. Test drove multiple cars/makes including BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, but the Mercedes just simply felt right and IMO had the best blend of true luxury and sporty look and feel. No buyers remorse here.

Beautiful car; handles well. I have the "radar" package (Distronic) and it is worth every penny. Quality build. I would hope to write a review in a year to see if I am still as satisfied as I am now.

  • Red E350 Cabriolet = Maximun FUN - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Ive only owned the car the past four days, and WOW, it is really FUN . Having owned many previous convertibles i.e. Valiant, Eldorado, Saab, MB SL-230; this one is the best. It is very smooth, even with the Sport Suspension and 18 inch low profile tires. I have been driving an 09 CLK 350 convertible lately, and this is so superior it is ridicules. Also my recent favorite has been my cousins 09 E-Bluetech, which is also so smooth, but the E350 cabriolet is even better.

I have had this car since 5-2011 and have now put 15,000 miles on it. Its solid, fits me like a glove, handles well, if not like a sports car and has all the bells and whistles I need. I added the luxury package, steering wheel, dynamic seating (a must have) and the P2 package. Fuel mileage has been almost 32 overall and 36-39 HWY. The DEF fluid is no big deal. Buy at most gas stations or car parts stores for $12 for 2.5gals. I think I have added 5 gals total (maybe 7.5). Big deal. M-B will scalp you if they put it in but its simply filling a tank. Love the car and not one issue.

  • Not Quite Great - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Late August pick-up (2k miles so far) - luxury, obsidian black, almond/mocha leather, P1, wood steering wheel. Beautifully built, highly refined. Standout interior w/ excellent stereo, very comfortable seats, good noise insulation. Very smooth at highway speeds, yet holds well on sharp on/off ramps. However, MB misses in two areas. 1st, engine is a bit underpowered for cars size. 2nd, mediocre 7-speed trans. Specifically, shifting keeps RPMs too low when accelerating unless peddle to the floor (so much for 2 overdrives), sport mode does nothing, does not adapt to driving style (contrary to advertising). A very good car, but needs some work. A shame BMW no longer makes the 5 wagon.

  • 6th Mercedes - Very Impressed - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

This is my 6th Benz since 88, and my 4th convertible. It is a major step up from the 2 CLKs I owned (03 and 05), and it is, naturally, much more car than the 07 SLK I traded in for this one. The quality of all the interior materials and finishes is excellent, the top works smoothly and quickly, and when closed it rides extremely quietly for a soft-top. The navigation system is vastly improved over the horrible SLK system I endured for 3+ years (which was an insult at over $2K), and, surprise!, the Germans have figured out cup-holders finally! But seriously, it is a solid, extremely well built car.

  • Great Car - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I have owned three Mercedes E Class cars since 2000. Subtle cut backs on quality, trying to keep the cost down, did not distract from the overall performance. The ride, handling and performance are still first class, making the car a good value for the money.

  • They Keep Getting Better and Better.... - 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Traded in my 2010 E350 Sport for a 2011 E350 Sport, new one is black with almond/black interior, fold down rear seats, premium 1 pkg and tire/wheel pkg. Rides as good as the 2010. Nice improvement with LED daytime running lights. Navigation outstanding w/voice command system. Ride and handling is superb. This one is quieter on the road due to Continental Tires vs. Pirelli Tires on my 2010. Build quality is astounding. Fit and finish are great. Paint is flawless, rare in a black car. Addition of one button for front and rear fog lights, big improvement. Fuel economy is about the same as I experienced with the 2010. Got car because of a great deal, didnt need it, but what a DEAL!
