Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Beautiful Car! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By gurudev - March 18 - 10:00 amPicked up my E320 4Matic a few days ago. My wife and I fell in love with the car when we first saw it at the dealership and we still feel the same after having gotten the car. It handles beautifully and the interior is really comfortable. The styling of the car still gives me goosebumps. Our dealer installed NAV system did not work right so the salesman came and picked up the car, took it to their repair deptt, fixed it and dropped the car off 2 hours later. MB service is terrific.

Superior built Automobile - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By bryant - March 18 - 10:00 amPurchased a 2005 E320 CDI (Diesel) "WOW" you have to drive this vehicle to really understand the quality. 27 miles in city & 37 miles highway. Do not sound or drive like a diesel. Excellent new technology. Plenty of power when you need it, 0-60 in 6.7 seconds. This car is fun to drive, plus the cost of fuel is very inexpensive, in Georgia $1.59. Purchased a diesel engine that sound and drive like a gasoline engine

Nice car, but too much rust - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By e320_4matic - March 18 - 2:18 amNice car. Rusts too much for a car this expensive. We love how it drives. Gets good fuel economy for a larger family.

2004 E320 SPORT - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Vladimir Isov - March 10 - 4:30 pmI left a review here in March of 2008 when I first bought my Mercedes-Benz. All I have to say is after two years and 28,000 miles I have NOT been left on the side of the road, not even close. All I do is follow the maintenance schedule (the cars computer tells U exactly when to take her in for her maintenance) and put high octane petrol - thats it. By the way, I would take it only to a dealer with CERTIFIED technicians. Also, have a low deductible on your auto insurance. I had a "fender-bender" which cost $11,000 to repair. I know, its crazy, right? You gotta love MB.

Sporty look with luxury and room - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Steve - March 3 - 7:56 amIve had many Jaguars, BMWs and Mercedes Benz. Mercedes seems to engineer their cars to do many things without the driver having to think about it. Not a lot of switches and gadgets to adjust while driving. As an example, Jaguar and BMW offer rain sensing wipers too. Theirs dont work as well and have to be set. MB has it as the standard first spot on the switch and they work perfectly in all amounts of drizzle to downpour. The car is quick but quiet. It looks sporty from the outside (and handles curves well) but holds four 6 plus tall adults in comfort and quiet on a 300 mile drive. The interior size of the new E seems more like the S models of old.

Questionable Build Quality on BlueTec - 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Carl - March 3 - 1:26 amThis was my first Mercedes purchase; a Japanese car loyalist up til this purchase. Car drives amazing & gas mileage is great for this size car. I averaged 29 mpg combined. However, build quality is a DISASTER. Literally, on evening home from dealership the night of purchase, the left headlight went out and I received an LCD error warning about headlight failure. Took it back to dealership and 3 days in shop w/$3200 bill (under warranty). The C series loaner I got had same headlight failure during loaner period. At 5,900 the BlueTecs power steering failed while driving and I almost wrecked; steering wheel wouldnt turn. Car towed back to dealership by MB - 5 days in shop. NIGHTMARE!
