Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • It Just Keeps on Ticking! - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Bought my 99 e320 4matic in 02 with 78K miles. A tree fell on it in a hurricane in year 2 and creased it down the middle. I thought it would be declared as totalled. It was repaired by the insurance company at a cost of $7,000. Had the transmission replaced 2 years ago. This vehicle lgets excellent gas mileage. On the highway I get 470+ miles to a tank of gas which I believe holds 18.5 gallons (about 25 mpg highway). I absolutely love to drive this car. The header is falling down a little in the back from where the tree creased it. Otherwise, it is pretty enough. I am presently at 256,000 miles and look forward to my next road trip

  • Bad decision from start to finish - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2005 E320 from a VERY reputable Mercedes dealership in North Carolina. It was the worst decision I have ever made. I fell in love with the appearance of the car, the dynamic Italian leather seats, navigation etc. Unfortunately, it doesnt run properly. In addition to regularly scheduled maintenance, the Mercedes service department (at two separate dealerships) has had my car in for "repair" EIGHTEEN times. In two years. No joke. It has a stalling issue that Mercedes trained and qualified service technicians cannot fix. It supposedly does not generate any error codes when it does this, so Mercedes cant fix it and Im stuck with it. BEWARE!

  • Luv-en It! - 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Love the E320! Loved the design of 2002 vs more recent models, classic vs a more cloned look. Ride is great, acceleration is awesome with a smooth transmission even after 5 years! Fit and finish is in wonderful condition even after 5 years. Was unsure if purchase of a used vehicle was a smart move but with 1 year of ownership under my belt, very happy I made the choice. Seat warmers are weak, front interior lights are too bright- like looking into the sun.

  • A fine luxury sedan like it should be - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Exterior Finish: Outstanding Performance: Excellent passing ability and on road performance is supberb. Interior: I especillay like the ultra quietness of the cabin and the comfort of the seats, a bit tight in the rear but the sculpted seats help my 6 foot 3 son find a comfortable space, quality workmanship and fine design (instruments and gadgets take a bit of practice) Engine: Ultra quiet and powerful, those few extra horses make the difference For the price, you have outstanding quality, power, performance, convenience, key safety features, security, electronic gadgetry that really works! A real driving/passenger pleaseing vehicle. An absolute winner and head turner. Thanks, MB

  • First Benz and I love it. - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This is my first Mercedes and I could not be happier. This car actually makes me want to go and drive somewhere. It has the perfect balance of everything I want in a car - looks, performance, comfort and reliabiliy. I also find it very interesting that it has excellent visibility while driving at night. I assume that whatever the windshield is made of, it does a good job of filtering out the glare of oncoming traffic. Keeping in mind that this is a 4 door sedan, I five the car very high marks for the way it handles corners and country (twists and turns) driving, while the engine has plenty of power (and torgue) for passing, merging or just getting up to speed.

  • CLK + S Class = E500 - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

After facing the prospect of a second set of tires on my 2002 CLK430 in less than 20,000 miles, I took a test drive in an E500. I couldnt believe how quiet, powerful and luxurious it was. Less than two hours later, I was driving my new E500 home. From the 6CD Bose sound system, to the adjustable suspension, each drive reinforces the fact that this is by far, the best car Ive ever owned. Negatives are few, but I really dont like the gas/temp gauges. The car is the best looking in its class, but I would recommend black, looks great from any angle!

  • Great car when not being repaired - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

This is my first and last Mercedes. Ive owned this care for maybe seven weeks. In that time it has been in for repairs on three different occasions, because the engine light was on. It is still in the shop and has been for the last 15 days with no end in sight. Told it is a gas problem, then no compression in one cylinder, then cam shaft slipped causing scoring. They have no clue. I own a Mercedes and ride the bus.

  • Love This Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

  • I love my MB 05 E320 - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

We have been completely happy with our purchase. Owned it 3 years at this point, bought it 2 yrs old with 27k miles (cert preowned buy). It now has 72k. Sold my 04 C320Wagon (that we also loved) and bought the E Dont buy a Benz if you dont want to pay the premiums for servicing. This isnt a car for those who like to change their own oil. My Ford bought new and now same miles -yes cheaper to take care of but way way less of a vehicle. Changed brakes and tires at same intervel w Ford. I was warned by non Benz owners (jealous?) about alleged electronics issues but after 3 yrs havent had any probs.
