Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Well, this is my first Benz after been a BMW owner for over 15 years. I am very please with the ride comfort especially on a long trip. The engine is quiet but powerful. I love this car!

  • Never Buy Another One - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes has lost its quality of years past. I purchased my E500 and for two years had nothing but problems with it. After 60,000 miles and $10,000 in repairs I traded it in for a Lexus.

  • Tire Problems - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This is a fine vehicle, overall, a joy to drive and comfortable. But the tires that came with it, Continental ContiTouring Contacts are clearly substandard for this vehicle. With only 7000 miles the rear tires were nearly ready for replacement. The front tires might have lasted another 4 to 5 thou. I replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza G008 tires and notice no difference in ride quality or noise. No satisfaction whatever from MB of North America, kind of a "take it and stuff it" attitude.

  • Wagon Bliss - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Purchased this vehicle on July 30, 2014 and it now has 3,500 miles on the odometer. Ive been driving high-end European vehicles for over 40 years, a number of which have been MB products, and this is the first time I have not had one occasion to return to the dealer for an adjustment or problem with the car. The vehicle came loaded and it took a few drives to acclimatize to all the systems, particularly the advanced driving system. After more than 3 months of ownership I can say, without hesitation, this is one of the finest automobiles I have driven.

  • Exquisite driving - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I jump from BMW 335 to the E550. I missed the aggressive driving of the BMW but this sedan is also very powerful and the drive is so smooth. The handling is incredible. If you like the style and sometimes you want to hit the trottle and feel the power under the hood of this powerful machine, I recommend this car.

  • MB E500 Sport - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I currently have 2500 miles on my car. To date, it has been perfect. The power is great yielding 5.9 sec 0 to 60 mph. Not bad for a 2 ton 4 door sedan! The 2003 redesign for both the interior and exterior is the best around in my opinion. I really like the combination and tread offs in ride, feel, comfort and performance. Its truly the best of all worlds!

  • Geaux Mercedes! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I bought the car with 22,000 miles and now have 65,000 miles almost a year later. The only repair Ive made (under warranty) was some front end work. The diesel has returned 35 MPG total average in predominantly highway driving (150 miles/day). With the exception of the front end work, the vehicle has been flawless, even the electronics (which is surprising). Ive owned six Mercedes before, mostly diesels, and wholeheartedly recommend the brand, and particularly their diesels.

  • last of the bank vault Benzs - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I know my MBs trust me on this. The 96-99 E class is by far the best years of the E class. DO NOT buy a 2000 or newer. I have 215k on mine. Paint is starting to fade a bit, a little rattle in the Cat Conv other than that, it drives and runs like new. Chrysler ruined the name from 2000 to like 2007 or roughly around there. They tried to infuse their technology into the E class at this time and failed miserably. A 2000 E class is a K car with a MB star on the hood. The 99 is heavy, solid, and feels German. Its a little underpowered, and dont buy a 4matic if you are worried about gas. If you value your familys safety, want to to stay out of trouble, and want to look cool, buy a 99

  • Ongoing safety issues with my 2014 E63S - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Real safety issue unresolved after 6 months and 6000 miles. My wife and son will no longer get in the car, forget about them driving it. Wild/out of control bucking when accelerating after cold start. May be limited to this specific car/vin. I am trying to resolve with MBUSA and my dealer - frankly I dont trust the car anymore

  • Mean, Powerful Car @ Luxurious Ride! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I test drove the BMW 550 and Audi A6 before deciding to buy the new 2010 Mercedes E 550. The Benz is just as fast as the BMW and Audi but more luxurious, detailed and refined. The V8 engine gives you incredible power that moves you fast! The new aggressive lines on this car is sporty and mean! Toss in the Benz luxury interior and tank-like secure drive and you have a mean sports car with a cool drive. I just love looking at its angry grill......it just screams "Get out of my way!" Mercedes hit a homerun with this new car!
