Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

1997 E-320 - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By P Savage - June 21 - 10:00 amClassy car with a touch of flare. Fun to drive around town and extremely comfortable on long trips. The trunk can swallow four large suitcases and there is plenty of room for five adults. I cant find anything I would change, and I cant think of another car I would rather own.

One of the finest on the road - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Anand - June 19 - 10:33 pmAs far as the car goes, even though its Turbodiesel, performance is excellent. The interior is the perfect size, leg, head, shoulder, andknee room is spectacular, and best in class Heated Seats and a Bose Stereo are a must!If God himself were incarnate, this would be his choice of car.Ride is silky smooth. Pepole look with eyes of jealousy when you drive past them with the car.It has gone to the dealership for oil changes, the battery was dead,so they replaced it free of charge.

2016 E400 - 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By hyman wong - June 19 - 5:08 pmLease end on 2014 E350, like the car and decided to purchase the 2016 E400. Love the E400 for the speed and all the options, love the massage seat. Solid car and no problem. Go for the E400, the price difference to E350 is not much.

Best Car I have Ever Owned! - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By 350guy - June 17 - 8:30 amI am writing this on the 5th anniversary of the day I took delivery (11/2/07) of my 2008 E350. The car has 102,150 miles today, averaging 20,000+ for 5 years. Absolutely remarkable car in every respect. Outside of normal maintenance items, only one repair for $198 in 5 years. I would get another one but this one feels almost new. Smooth as silk on SCal freeways, quiet, great handling, looks like new, engine positively purrs. I cant believe how well it has done over time. Follow the maintenance took the letter, drive it smoothly, park out of the sun and the result is simply amazing. I will buy another for sure. Can not imagine parting some day...

Great Drive - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By E320Lanka - June 16 - 5:00 pmHaving used the E240, which had an acceleration delay, I decided to get myself an E320. The performance of this car is astonishing. Cornering is a dream at speeds over 100Kph. Fuel economy is not the best although I canÂ’t complain for 3.2L Engine. Stability at high speeds is great supported with a well engineered breaking system. The Bi-Xenon lamps light up the neighborhood which makes night driving extremely comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this extremely reliable and comfortable car

27 minimimum MPG around town - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mark - June 13 - 11:13 pmI just bought this car and previously had a 2000 Volvo S-80 T6. This car is an outstanding road car and the low torque diesel provides excellent passing on the highway. It is as quick as my Volvo S-80 T6 and as smooth on the highway but with much better gas mileage and, I hope, a better built and longer lasting engine. One problem that has already surfaced that I hope Mercedes Benz is quickly working to correct is a shifting problem when starting out - the gears shift back and forth between first and second in a jerking motion. The problem duplicates when using the manual or automatic mode even when I try to start out in second gear. MB is aware of the problem and are investigating.

Good Value for Long Term Ownership - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By R M LEAL - June 13 - 3:16 pmI have covered 40,000 miles averaging 35 mpg . Handling , steering, suspension, excellent. Very comfortable ride. My only negative comment, no engine oil dipstick. Body panels good fit and finish excellent both inside & out. Very silent and very quick for a diesel

E300D - 1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By danoE300D - June 9 - 2:00 amThis is my 3rd MB Diesel and by far the best. 160,000 trouble free miles so far in classic style and comfort. Dont be afraid of a diesel - even in cold climates (Im in Minnesota) it is more reliable than the gas versions and a great value if you can find a used one. I wont be trading up anytime soon.

Gregs Opinion - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Greg Rutman - June 9 - 2:00 amA fun car to drive. Good snob appeal. Creature comforts lacking in following areas: No automatic lights on at night. No one touch seat adjustment. Must hold button to get it to adjust. No compass for direction. Trunk does not go up all the way upon release....usually hit head. Only one cup usuable cup holder.....

My E55 - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bernie Nelson - June 7 - 10:10 amWhen I bought this car I knew it was very powerful as the dealer gave me the keys to a demo and myself and my thirty year old son went for a test drive. The power the car has is unreal. It takes off like no other. It gives you a feel of pleasure and is actually much safer than a car that is much slower as it allows you to get out of the way of others in defensive driving and gives you great confidence by the way it handles. I drive a canyon fifteen miles each way everyday and love the way it handles. Dont get me wrong I am not a speed demon buy why would you want to spend an extra twenty thousand on a car when you can buy the E500. Its a great car and I recommend it highly
