Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

The Perfect Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Juggluv - September 28 - 10:00 amThis car is indeed perfect, or at least nearly so, however I have yet to find a flaw. The car is the best all around car, and has the power to beat just about every car on the road, with the exception to a corvette or somehting of an equivelent class. The E-55 AMG is incredibly fast, all the while having a 1st class interior, althouth I would prefer burl walnut trim over the black birds eye maple trim but other than that it is perfect.

Driving feel being lost among electronics - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By jgo - September 25 - 5:03 amThis is my 3rd MB. Owned an E500 4m for a year, and decided to sell. First the good news, the car was totally reliable and finely finished inside and out, but a few months of driving revealed a series of irritations that added up. Theres throttle lag in this model, and brakes are hard to modulate due to the SBC. The steering power assist at lo speed is non existent, and at any speed the wheel needs constant input to stay on line. The airmatic works well at speed in corners and to isolate cabin, but go over a bump at lo speed and your head will bob. My old E430 4m felt roomier and easier to drive in suburbia and city. This car is engineered to compete with BMW in autobahn conditions, not on Long Island.

Dream come true - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Aaron - September 23 - 11:33 pmI have had trucks for most of my life so I knew I had to get an all wheel drive car. This car is tops. I expected a little more power take off from the line, but the ride is so smooth you forget about it quickly. The interior is beautiful, and the trunk is loaded with space. I would have liked a little more radio control on the steering wheel though. And the turning signal switch is a little close to the cruise control switch and I hit it by accident sometimes, but Ill get used to that. Otherwise its the best car I ever had. I just bought the chrome kit for the headlights, exaust pipes, and tailights to top it off. All in all its a beautiful car.

My Second First Car - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Brian - September 23 - 2:30 amFor my first car my parents bought me a 1990 Mercedes 300E. I loved that car but it was dangerously underpowered and didnt feel like getting in an accident when pulling into traffic. So I upgraded to my E430 Sport. I love this car! Most of my friends think its a 2005 or 2006. The ride is incredibly smooth, The power is amazing and The Climate Control system is awesome. All my friends envy the Bose Sound. I like all the little things Mercedes put in like the vents in the center console and the Rear Power Sunshade. I would recommend this car to anyone. I bet it will go over 300K miles. Mercedes-Benz is the best and I will only buy Mercedes Benz now.

A Mind of its Own - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By X-TWA - September 22 - 2:00 amWas very excited for the new E320 to become available. That was the last excitement I experienced.First, imagine driving at around 10mph and having the transmission start fluctuating between 1st and 2nd gear causing the car to buck..service dept says that is normal ..second,imagine trying to simply accelerate slowly fwd after backing out of a parking space and there is delayed response and then the engine almost stalling....Service dept says this is normal..very disappointed with the entire Mercedes experience. Please get Volvo to bring back my S-70 "box" that I so loved for 8years+ (2cars). Mercedes and my E320 have " A Mind of its Own" !

Disappointment for the Price - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By TOMS - September 17 - 10:46 pmThis is my second E class, I had a 98 E320, wish I could get it back. The car is beautiful, rides nice. Radio and CD player failed in first month. Car has been in 4 times for transmission problems, every fix makes it worse. Avoid any Mercedes with the 7speed. My 84 Ford Tempo had a better quality transmission. Car slam shifts between gears. I had to stop drinking coffee on the way to work to stop the stains in the carpet from the spills the car jerks so hard when it shifts. We were about to buy my wife an R class until I found out it had the 7 speed. I am currently considering pursuing Lemon Law remedy. Oh by the way the car doesnt even come with all seasons, I had to spend $1,000 on snows.

One VERY Happy Camper - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By flaman - September 17 - 4:26 pmAveraging 31 MPG or mixed highway and (limited) city driving. Quiet inside the vehicle and no diesel odors. Unbelievable response when the accelerator is pushed.
