Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

This Mercedes E350AWD is true "class". We previously owned a BMW 5 series--- truly a great car, but, the Mercedes gives you the feel of more luxury.Yhe 6 cyl engine provides all the power youll ever need. The interior space is very generous, and the ride is great.

  • Very Disappointed - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I bought this car new, my first Benz. It will also be my last. There have been continual electronic problems, head lamp problems, power window problems, I have had to replace the mass airflow sensor 3 times. The CD changer no longer works and the cost to repair is very high. While the car is responsive and powerful, and can be fun to drive, the irritation and cost of the constant electrical repairs and soured me on the brand for life. I would not recommend a MB to anyone at this time. I regret not buying the Lexus.

I hate mini-vans! Give me a car or a truck. A MV is neither. Anyway, it was time to replace the wifes van and she wanted a new one. "How about an SUV?" I said. "NO WAY" came the reply. The not so obvious but perfect answer was an E320 4-Matic Wagon. Room for the "Soccer Mom" chores, AWD for the snow, and handling that makes you forget its a wagon! 23+ MPG at speed, try that in an SUV. Just go buy one!

  • The Chrysler effect - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I ve been driving MB for more than 25 years, I cannot imagine myself driving another car. I became really concerned since the merger between MB and Chrysler. The interior design of the MB had been great throughout the years, but ever since the merger the interior design of the S class/2000, the C class 2002 and now the 2003 E class is disappointing, it looks like the design of the American car that I drive when I rent a car. I am not happy that the new trend of the MB/Chrysler corporation is towards building a cheaper MB, more plastic parts I think that such a trend will tarnish the name of the MB.

  • Should be better - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Like the car, but should have more at the price, even when discounted heavily. Even the comfort suspension on E350 Luxury has too much impact harshness over most road imperfections and too little damping, especially at low speeds. Navigation and Audio are too complicated. No cover on underside of parcel shelf in trunk, making it looks cheap. Spare tire cover has to be FORCED in and out with great effort- poor design. Carpet & mats are thin, even compared to economy makes. Engine is underpowered which causes using more fuel to accelerate or go uphill. Seat heater cuts off after 10-20 minutes and has to be re-started. Storage box on front of seats hits back of legs. Hood release is hard to find.

  • I am loving it. - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I have had this car for over a year and absolutely love it. It is a solid built car with a super smooth drive and transmission. The audio system is simply outstanding and the gas mileage has been great. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the purchase.

  • Didnt miss my Passat for long! - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Never have felt so secure on the road. Bought it when my daughter started school in next county.Great on highway. Yeah, cupholder is actually a better cell phone holder, but Ill deal! Bought it used with 29000 miles on it, saved a bunch over new and it still feels like new.

  • Ten years with my E320. - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Bought new in 96, an excellent package in terms of its exterior size, interior space and cargo volume. Handles well and is a pleasure to drive, especially on the freeway where it just glides along. Highway fuel economy has been as high as 27.75 mpg (Models EPA was 20/27). IMHO, in good condition the E320 is a screaming used car bargain, but only if its in good condition.

  • The Greatest E class - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I two weeks ago I traded in my 2006 E350 for the 2008 E350. The handling and engine sound are much improved and there is more aviable options and combinations. I got my E350 with dvd navigation, premium 2 pkg, ipod integration, electronic trunk closer, voice control, and keyless go. The color is Sienna Black metallic which reflects red but appears to be black and the sahara/beige interior ( very nice combination). It had a MSRP or 60,500 and had a sticker price lower than a E550. I am delighted.
