Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

simply mercedes, a driving machine. of all the cars I have owned, 22 in my life, this automobile is by far the best and most fun to drive. The smoothness of the ride is impeccable. The horsepower, demanding. I have accidently had the car up to 110mph and it felt like I was going 55!!

  • Nice Pretty Car - Fun to drive - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car is great. Nice looking and a bit roomy - for a coupe anyway. For average size adults (under 6 ft) wont have a problem with the backseat. Only gripe is performance - this car is not a speed demon but has enough pick up to leave most cars and can hold a good cruising speed. Since I am not racing people it is not a real problem, But I would love to have the power of the 550 if the gas tax/mileage wasnt such a big hit. Overall, great cruising car and handles great.

I bought my E320 pre-owned with only 55k miles on it. The car is great handling, beautiful body style, and decent on gas mileage. My only complaint was with the headlights. I must have replaced 5 in the 3 years I had the car. Oh, and the expensive oil changes $89. (But that is because 5 quarts and synthetic blend) I will say the car was very safe. I was hit from behind 2 weeks ago and the only damage was to the trunk and back bumper (barely bent in my opinion) but the insurance company totaled it. Great Car!

  • Great car. But poor engine quality - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Love this car, great cruiser, comfortable, great mileage and power. BUT, Mercedes has delivered a car with a poorly designed engine. At 62K, I got check engine light and taking to the dealer was informed that I have to replace the balance shaft of my engine for a cost of close to $6K. According to the advisor and validated by the many articles you can find on the web. Mercedes, E350 engine (this affects E350, ML350 and many other C class cars using the same engine) was built using a balance shaft that was not tempered properly. This affects 10% to 15% of the cars between 2006 and 2007 Worst of all Mercedes will not stand behind the poorly manufactured engine !!!

  • Best Ride! - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car drives the best of any comparable cars! Smooth and stable cornering, solid feel, and impressive acceleration. Having owned Lexus for many years, I believe the quality of the details are more superior on the Lexus but the LS400 cannot compete with this one on the quality of the ride. Get used to more stares and attention driving a Mercedes compared to other luxury cars!

  • Amazing quality - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

One of the best cars Ive ever owned. Rock-solid build, amazing quality inside and out, and top-notch engineering. The car has an understated and timeless elegance and beauty and its on-road performance is fantastic. Not exactly a high- performance car, but smooth and powerful. I havent had a more than a minor problem in 6 years (dash bord lights) and it was taken care of under warranty. However, I am quite careful about maintaining and caring for my cars, so I rarely have had problems with any of my cars, Mercedes or otherwise. The dealership service is expensive, but I feel better knowing its being taken care of completely.

  • E-Class Not a Real E Class - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Traded in my fully loaded 2002 BMW X5 for a 2008 E350W. Should not compare apples to oranges. First Impression : After few weeks of driving the E Class, corner of my heart the BMW wins. As the saying goes, when you dont have it anymore is you will miss it even more.

  • Love this car - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

My husband & I love this car. If we didnt have to think about the cost of gas, wed be thinking up places to drive to. Overall, a great, fun to drive car. The other AM, we went out, and I looked at my husband, noticed his expression, and said, "you just love this car, dont you?" He smiled and said "I do." It is comfortable, and well, so intelligent. When going downhill and gathering speed, the engine doesnt upshift, when braking, the engine slows too. It pulls you through curves. Our MPG is better than advertised.
