Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Superb Car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By PGC1877 - April 14 - 6:53 pmThe power and sophistication of this diesel motor must be experienced to be believed. Why M-B does not offer this motor in more body styles is beyond me.

Well, If You Must Know.... - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By dwild - April 10 - 4:44 pmI bought the 99 MB E320, with 98,000 miles on it. I have owned this vehicle for over 6 years. Had to replace the AC / $1500.00, replaced the belt / $700.00..routine oil changes / every 4-5 months / $98.00 per service, need motor mounts, need electric work on brake lights, paint is severely peeled on top, front and back hood / paint job: $1500. But, as for the driving of the car? Well, I now have $219800 miles on it. It still drives smoothly, very powerful, very safe, handles extremely well. Yeah, it needs some cosmetic work, but, this is the most reliable, safest car that I have ever driven! I believe that with continued routine maintenance, I could drive it another 220,000 miles..easy

It Will Save Your Life! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By joe - April 7 - 3:06 amFaster than a speeding bullet. Finest ride in the world. This Mercedes truly lives up to what the Europeans say: Theres Mercedes and then theres the rest. It is safe, quiet. The diesel sounds sexier and quieter than a gas engine, and the turbo makes it faster. I pay 23 cents less a gallon than I do for BMW guzzling Z4 BMW. Buy this car, it will save your soul.

By atl0724 - April 6 - 2:00 amgreat car, performs great, better than the e430 I replaced it with. I like it alot more than the 545i that I also looked at.

Really like my E350 Sport - 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By lawcar - April 5 - 4:58 amHaving previously leased Lexus GS and BMW 5 series cars, this was my first Mercedes. It is a sporty luxury car rather than a luxury sport car. It drives very good (although not as tight as other sportier cars, it still handles nicely). The cabin is beautiful. The control system is about the same as other similar cars, and does take getting used to. I havent had problems on the car, and drive daily in city driving. Very happy with this car.

Hunk of Junk - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Sorrowful - April 3 - 7:26 pmLooks pretty, but everything around the engine has fallen off or broken. The repair costs have been outrageous a real nightmare of a car. Stay clear of it.

Longing for a Lexus - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mistake in Philly - March 31 - 10:03 pmI have a 05 E500 sedan and wagon (4- matic) The sedan has been a problem since day one. The wagon has been a joy to own and since it is my wifes I dont get it that often. The sedans brakes have been and continue to be an issue. The electronic brake system needs to be trashed. After numerous trips back to the dealer due to the hydralic pump activating for no reason, the system was finally replaced. The brakes have been squeaking even after 2 "treatments". The wipers "stink on ice". In addition, it is not as quick as my wagon. There is a noticeable lag in acceleration. I am truly disappointed in this car-- especially for the price. Thank God I leased it. Mercedes can have it back.

Whadabout da paint chips! - 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Jason James - March 30 - 10:00 amIve only had this car for about 4 months now but this car is great. I love the way it looks from the outside, but the interior could be better. The V8 is just right for me, but that doesnt mean that the E320 is weak and slow. I love this car. But am I the only person that notices how easily this car gets paint chips? This is my biggest problem with the car. I think the older models had more durable paint.

Never again! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Eric G - March 29 - 12:16 amWhat a nightmare! Its just so much fun to drive a 6 year old Mercedes with only 52,000 miles that doesnt have an operational radio. There is a widely known issue with the radio with these vehicle (go ahead and Google 2004 e500 radio problems) yet no one at MB cares! The dealers wont go to battle for you even though they acknowledge its a widely known issue. MB Customer Care? Well arent they the most pompous and arrogant individuals on the planet. Go buy something else, there are far better luxury automobiles out there.
