Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Fast and Responsive - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Nodeew - May 31 - 10:00 amSmall problem with cruise control. It will shut off after 200-300 miles and engine has to be restarted to turn back on. The satellite system offers little value and a chare is incurred for each contact.

Highly competent but uninvolved - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By William Stivelman - May 25 - 2:00 amThe E320 is wonderfully engineered. It almost drives itself. It drives more like a Lexus than a Benz of 15 years ago. I dont know if is good or bad. Certainly the driver is less involved, but handling and performance are clasic Benz, but more refined than before. This car says to the driver, "I can handle it." It isnt in the BMW tradition which says, "Push me to the limit," even though the Benz will deliver similar performance with a bit less flash.

This Car Rocks! - 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By ftmbowner - May 23 - 4:03 pmIt does not get any better than this car. It turns heads, it rides like a dream and handles like it is on rails. It is a great fun car. All the fears about the cost of maintenance that scared me away from MB for years have been put to rest wth being able to purchase maintenance packages. HWY MPG is between 28-32 depending on how far you put your foot in it or how much traffic is on the road. City MPG is 23-25 which is the same as my Honda Accord.

Still the only 7-seater wagon out there - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By A.Thomas - May 18 - 2:00 amI had a 98 E320 4 matic wagon and loved it. The 2004 model sacrifices some interior room but is more elegant looking and more fun to drive than the older model, and after initial skepticism I really like the voice- activated controls and navigation system.

2004 Mercedes 500E 4-Matic Review - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By ron1660 - May 18 - 2:00 amWe have owned this vehicle for 3 months. Thus far, the vehicle has been very reliable and enjoyable to drive. The acceleration is excellent, and the handling is more like a sports car than a luxury car. We also own a Lexus LS 430, and the cars drive entirely differently. For a long leasurely trip, choose the Lexus. For around town, and especially in the snow, choose the 4- Matic Mercedes.

Expensive, but very fun - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Nick Marden - May 15 - 6:00 amI got this car in Feb 2005 - one of the first 2006 E350s to come off the boat in America. I had held off choosing between the 2005 model year E320 and E500 because I felt that there must be a better solution with more horsepower than the E320 but less cost than the E500. Sure enough, waiting one model year was worth it, because the E350 hits that sweet spot right between the old E320 and the E500.

GOOD WORKHORSE - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By SAL - May 15 - 3:53 amThis was my first mercedes. I have leased 3 more new ones since.I bought it with 10300 miles on it. yes I have put some $$ in it,however never cheated. Always serviced by Mercedes Dealer( same dealer). Most important is not to use after market parts. as long as you stay with real Mercedes parts your car will appreciate it and you will too.Only problem I have; it has too much power! feels like 8 cylinder. Very balance and wont skip. I feel safe driving it. Responsive steering and brake system gives you confidence. even new ones are much more reliable, ( i have 2008 CLK) How ever it is fun to drive this one.
