Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

E430 Sport - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mike Fruin - September 13 - 10:00 amPurchased this vehicle as a pre-owned replacement for my 1999 E430...much more car than the Audi A6 or BMW 5 series, both of which were considerations at the time. The 8 cylinder engine, sport suspension, and auto-stick transmission is awesome. A few too many electronics possibly, but a dream to drive none the less.

Perfect car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Pierre - September 12 - 5:50 amAs a previous BMW 5 series owner, I doubted that another car would compare favorably to that. The E350 4-matic is a dream to drive. The extra horsepower makes all the difference. All electronics work great. The car is beautiful inside and out. Quality all around.

High end MB with low end econobox milage - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By John - September 11 - 8:56 amGreat build quality, interior layout and handling. Quiet engine, as well as wind noise at high speed due to high tech diesel and .27 drag coef. Handling is best Ive seen in a 4000lb sedan with road tests give it a .84 skid pad rating.. With 17" 245/45 wheels/tires it almost handles like a sports car. I am getting over 40 mpg consistently at speed over 70mph in freeway milage.. amazing.

Could Be Greatly Improved! - 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By oldgoldtop - September 8 - 11:18 pmRecently retired and wanting something less expensive to operate, my Audi A8 was no longer under warranty and would be expensive to repair. After1 month I can say that this is a nice driving car but the COMAND system and voice recognition is vastly inferior to the Audi MMI. Such systems have become integral to todays driving experience defining to a large extent how the driver interacts with the car. MB COMAND requires much more input to navigate the menus than Audi. The voice recognition seems less intelligent and reliable compared to my past Audi experience. COMAND may have a shorter learning curve but will require more effort to operate than MMI. Miss parking assist.

Better Then All The Rest - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By jordanbibbs98 - September 7 - 11:51 pmThe best car Ive been in. Amazing built quality, soft touch materials, nice stitching and wood grain. Easy to read gauges and command sysytem. The ambient lighting and sound system is flawless. Great on gas. Probably the best car to get wit all wheel drive. Quiet on the highways. Alittle bumpy on pot holes. But thats expected from a heavy sedan with beefy sport rims and low profile tires. Honestly this car beats every car in its catorgory. Very safe and comfortable. Mine is a 2010 E350 4-Matic with 55,000 miles. Have had No issues or complaints. Just one, the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) is alittle fussy during the cold season due to the differences in tempature.

Total Package - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By B - September 6 - 3:03 amThis car is one for the ages -- in the proper exterior color and interior package it will turn heads. The power this car possesses almost got me locked up already for running against a Corvette in the city. Handling at high speeds is rather impressive, and the brakes are very responsive (almost too responsive at times. The nav system is very easy to operate and the heated and dynamic seats are luxuries that once you have them, they are now a must on any car you will ever purchase in the future. Rides extremely smooth and comfortable and after a few spins in it; youll definitely feel why you spent what you did on it. This car is for mature adults only!!

Love car, HATE the electrical problems!! - 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MikeA - September 4 - 2:00 amI love the car. I have owned it since 1997, and the style still turns heads. Hovever, the constant electrical problems reflect a Yugo, not a Mercedes Benz!! Nearly once a month something electronic fails. Thank God I bought an extended warranty. Next time, I am buying the Lexus LS430, (less problems).

Value tanked - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Rock inn - September 2 - 6:02 pmBought my E 350 new in July 2014. The car stickered at $61,250. Went to trade it in on another MB product in September 2015 and the dealership would only give me $37,500! Car was in perfect condition with only 8,000 miles. I would call this terrible depreciation. If you buy a new MB plan on keeping it for a LONG time.

Great Car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By williebegoode - August 23 - 10:00 amEver since I first saw the exterior styling of this E350 Ive wanted one. The style was continued until 2009, and then changed in 2010 to a more angular look. So the 2006 looks exactly like the 2009 and the same model before it. This model has more pep than I realized, and I like the details and safety of the car. Very comfy.
