This Year's Model Updates:

The E-Class sedan is completely redesigned this year. A more elegant body, along with more power for the V8 model and more luxury (including four-zone climate control and an optional massaging driver seat), bring the latest midsize Benz up to date. Last year's E-Class station wagon, however, carries over into 2003 virtually unchanged.

Pros:
  • Legendary solidity, effortless performance, state-of-the-art safety features.
Cons:
  • Firm ride for a luxury sedan, touchy brakes.

From the first day that I took delivery of my E500 I have had fun. The car is beautiful and driving experience is the best. The Germans really know how to build a great automobile.

  • Won me back from BMW - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car draws many looks from people in a variety of age groups. The engine is silky smooth; the interior is like a glove; the driver seat is very comfortable and interior layout very intuitive. My only complaint is that the cruise control is not part of the steering wheel.

A real solid car. Extremely reliable, Ive put 48,000 in 2 years and the only thing I am doing is the scheduled maintenace, and changed tires once. I will keep untill it falls apart.

  • Luv it so far! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Nice work by MB over the 2002 model. This is my first MB and have loved it so far. The best deal was the re- engineering w/o the price increase. The engine is barely audible in city and bit more on the xpressway. The stone interior gets dirty soon, wish they had a better material for and around the foot wells. The digital display is not readable in sunlight, but the dash is neat and well organized.

  • classy wagon - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

this is a great wagon, which rides like a sedan. it is beautiful both inside and out. i dreaded ever having to get another suv,so this is my second mercedes e320 wagon. i loved the first one and so far this has surpassed my expectations. it is functional, gorgeous, and practical. the only negative might be that the brakes are little too sensitive to touch(or perhaps its my lead foot).

Perfection with exception of missing cassette tape player. Much more than I expected and more than I deserve. Wonderful.

  • Chryslerization of Mercedes-Benz - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Year 2003. Death of a classic brand. The tradgedy finally happened. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has gone to cheap, gimmicky Americanized, low-class trash. From the fake chrome plastic knobs that clutter the entire dashboard and console, to the Chrysler "star" patterned wheels. Ever since the merger, we have sat and worried and wondered when the famous, world class brand would begin to show the signs of being diluted and infected. The wait is over. My next car will come from BMW and I pray to the car-maker gods to please allow this one remaining quality brand to remain independent and uninfected.

  • Best Buy - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Just upgrade from clk to the eclass. They did a great job with this e. The car is very comftorable. The redisgned interior is unbelievable as well as the exterior. It also moves for a 222hp V6. If you are thinking about purchasing it all I can say is go for it. Black and charcoal is the best combination for this car. There is alot of chrome on the interior and exterior.
