Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Pleasantly Surprised - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Dr.B - December 10 - 2:00 amChose this over Lexus, BMW, and Audi. I live in the Rocky Mountains and get a good amount of snow. Ive always been partial to Audi (Quattro), but thought I would give the 4-Matic a try. Not a single complaint with the drive. Couldnt find a suitable BMW with AWD and a quiet ride. The bigger Lexus were only available in RWD and still felt too Japanese. Ive had 23 vehicles, including all the luxury brands, in the last 12 years and this is my favorite.

Great Vrooom - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By R. Ravenstad - December 7 - 10:00 amGreat to drive on gentle country roads with the sunroof open and the Bose system jammin. Feels like a Benz is suppose to. It makes you feel like water on moderately crowded freeways.

I Thought I Bought a German Built Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By knoxville - November 29 - 10:00 amOverall disappointed with the quality of the car. Paint job is poor and radio has fail within first 500 miles. Would Not buy a MB in the future. Acura or any Japanese car tops the physdo German car mfg.

Small problems excepted - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Mike Y - November 28 - 11:03 pmI was in love with this car since I first saw it 6 years ago. The looks are incredible. I bought it last March. I kept getting a check engine light - turned out to be a recall that was never corrected. The wheels have been balanced 6 times, and theyre still a little bit off. I bought an after market warranty that I have used several times. All of these little problems aside - it is the best looking car in the world, and it turn heads. I love the feeling of driving a Mercedes

Happy with E320 wagon - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By slo456 - November 28 - 4:03 amThis has turned out to be an excellent purchase choice for a luxury car. Went with a wagon instead of a sedan and very happy to have done so. Much more flexible, better ride and handling. Constant 24 to 26 mpg on daily 30 mile freeway commute. Best mileage on long trips around 28 to 29 mpg. The electric rear tailgate door is a must. Makes grocery trips and other loading with hands full a breeze. Very comfortable ride and handling in town and out on the open road.

"Finest engineering MB car...." - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By inftell - November 27 - 7:13 amI owned 2008 E-350 class. I have maintain this car perfectly. Since purchasing the car I had several annoying problems which where fixed at the MB dealer ship at inflated prices. However the last episode was the Break down of the car REAR DIFFERENTIAL AT$4300.- COST.This is an extreme case of part breakdown which can not be justified especially when buying "fine engineering car....."

Not a happy MB consumer - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Unhappy - November 26 - 12:53 amBought the car with 48000 miles, and have replaced every light at least once. One electrical problem after another. Paint is the worst I have every seen, chipping. Everytime there is a problem cost is at minimum $1,000. I would NEVER own another MB. Overrated poorest quality car I have ever owned.

A big step up - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Ski2771 - November 24 - 10:00 amI just bought this car last Month and I love everything about it. I was an Audi man before this and this car leaves it in the dust as far as comfort, style and power. Only thing I am nervous about is the winter going from 4-wheel drive to 2-wheel drive should be interesting! Another thing that swayed me towards buying the Mercedes is that Mercedes offer an excellent extended warranty. Audi does NOT back their vehicles with an extended warranty. So Basically with Audi once the standard Warranty is up you are on your own unless you go to a third party to purchase and they donÂ’t cover everything. Anyway I am rambling. I love the car.
