Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Below average quality automobile - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Craig - December 31 - 10:00 pmI have owned my E320 since new--10+ years. In that period of time, I have spent an average $422 a month on routine service and an average of $534 per month on repairs. Repairs like 3 window regulators; rear differential seals (recall item); CD player went south after 5 years; leaky transmission plug replaced twice; right and left 02 sensors; vibration damper recall; airflow sensor; broken front coil spring; crankshaft sensor; entire rear tail lamp assembly. I have 120,000 miles on it. Granted a few but I dont expect repairs like from MB. I have owned a number of other autos and have not replaced anything like the things I replaced/repaired on this auto.

Beautiful Car! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By EBolgiano - December 22 - 1:56 pmThis is my first Mercedes and it is everything I had expected and then some. The car is a pure pleasure to drive, fuel mileage is great, interior is comfortable, and the straight 6 cast iron engine should last for many miles.

E350 AWL - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By CSTIER - December 20 - 3:53 amBreak dust is too excessive. Windows need to be tinted somewhat. Side mirrors should automaticaly close when car is turned off considering the cost of the car. Back seat is too small. Although there are 3 headrests it really is not comfortable for 3 adults. Headrest adjustments on the passenger seat fails to perform

E-320 4-matic - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Ks E-320 - December 19 - 10:00 amExcellent vehicle! Fund to drive. V6 engine is very powerful - impressive accelleration. Great gas mileage - 22 mpg commuting. Handling is remarkable - best Ive ever driven. Sticks to any curve in the road. Sure-footed in snow - 4-matic really works! Huge trunk with well-designed storage. Very legible, easy to read gages and displays (including the radio).

So far so good! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Golfdog - December 19 - 2:00 amThis is my first MB (2004 E320)and it is a very nice car that handles extremely well, looks like it was engineered and put together well and looks good. Handles like I would imagine a German car should handle. After reading owners manual I was a bit dissapointed to find out that I couldnt use my cell phone without an external antenna (could interfere with electronics). But I may opt for the $2000 phone. Ill post more feed back as I put a few more miles on this car. So far a great car!

Consumer Reports was right - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Vdub - December 14 - 7:33 amWe were undecided between Lexus and MB,decided to go with an e350 with only 17000 miles. This car has the smoothest ride of any vehicle weve owned, including BMW. The problem has been with reliability-my car has been in the shop 5 times,I am currently in a loaner. Ranging from minor electrical problems to motor mounts. I am officially done! The dealership has been great and everything is under warranty. My wife is reluctant to get rid of the car because of the ride and appearance but this car has consumed to much of time!

Fun & easy to drive but has its flaws - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By EyeDoc - December 13 - 9:06 amWonderful 5.5L motor thatll fun forever. Problem with this car is build quality and electronic failures. Also watch out for rust. MB USA will not acknowledge serious rust issues their cars even though hundreds of thousands of well maintained MB cars are rusting. Easy to drive, if you dont step on the gas it drives just like a regular E-class. Great commuter. Much more comfortable than BMW M5. Depreciation very poor, same year M5 costs $10-12k more.

love the E class 320 - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By billc1975 - December 12 - 8:01 pmhad my 99 E-320 for 2 years now it has 94k miles , ive had to put around 6k in repairs into it because i plan on keeping this car a long time, it has never had a single mechanical problem, only a few electrical items, and thats to be expected if you dont take precaution in florida heat. ( i learned and since no problems) the only thing i didnt like were the seats, they could be a little more comfy, almost like a board with very thin padding over it, besides that, i have absolutely loved everything about this car, the pickup on takeoff is very strong, the ride is smooth, and the look elegant. i would recommend this car to anyone looking to keep a vehicle for the long haul, and hey..its a MB

So Glad I Bought This Car - 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By kstall3 - December 12 - 5:57 amI bought this car with 90k miles and have driven it to 140k with only minor issues (headlight and window motor). The car will smoke about anything on the road and looks classy while doing so. I can get 25 MPG on the hwy, haul 4 adults and their stuff, and still toast all the Mustangs and the older Vettes. Routine maintenance is expensive - but tolerable. I am pretty sure this car will be remembered as a classic MB.
