Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

On the one - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By howj1 - March 9 - 11:13 pmI did a lot of shopping around before I chose the E-class Mercedes. I dont feel that I could have found a better car for me. Its classy, but yet sporty at the same time. The sleek lines in its design, make the E-class a true eye catcher. Im truly happy.

Presets in Steering wheel - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By WilliamMann - March 9 - 10:00 amI cannot believe the IDIOTS at the top of Mercedes, they made a decision that someone should be fired for! The comfort steering wheel is ANYTHING but that. The Sterio arrows in steering wheel just Scan the stations and do NOT skip to your presets as THEY SHOULD! The dealer said they changed this for this years model - ARE THEY NUTS!!! Im So upset that I spent 70K & I also have to hold the preset for Memorie seating too instead of a One touch like the Caddys. Really silly stuff that could have been great! SHAME to the executives making BONE HEAD decisions.

First Mercedes-Benz - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Alex - March 5 - 2:20 amIm used to the comfortable hohum driving experieces of Japanese cars. For a long time Ive driven Lexus, but decided I wanted something fun to drive, comfortable, safe, and powerful. This car fit the description almost perfectly. I got the AWD model for Connecticuts uncertain winters. The car begs to be driven fast. You can fine tune your suspension from comfort to sport which ever you desire. A deterent for German cars seem to be its terrible reliability, so far nothing yet! Well see how the rest of the year progesses. Its nice to have the only one , the car turns heads all over. The vehicle was equipped with the premium and appearance packages, electric trunk closer, wood steering wheel, and voice control.

Best of Breed - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Zanderxo - February 23 - 1:33 amIve owned a BMW, a Lexus, a Corvette, two Subarus, and two prior Mercedes. The Bluetec gets the ribbon. It has a tight, solid, heavy and luxurious feel, but the torquey motor gives it plenty of punch. I feel safe in this car, even at high speed. It has air bags everywhere, and the TeleAid system (similar to OnStar). It has a tight turning radius and is no problem to park. Visibility all around is excellent. And it is not ostentatious to the point that vandals want to mess with it. The automatic tranny does have the annoying and well-known habit of "hunting" between 1st and 2nd briefly when starting out, but Ive learned to ignore it! My friends Audi had the same problem. No biggie to me.

220000 miles and still strong - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By california driver - February 23 - 12:50 amI bought my e320 with 120000 miles it was well maintained. and i took over, my first benz. it has been good to me. i do oil changes, i have changed rear window lifting devices and hand to change sliding mechanism to moon roof, and i changed valve cover gasket but the car still purrs like a tiger. its good on gas and feels like a tank and its a benz, when it reaches 400k i will buy an S Class 2006 4matic. i will drive it till it popps i would feel guilty trading it in for 3k it is worth more than that to me. Fulfilled Expectations - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Henry Beer - February 21 - 11:30 amI purchased a 2004 E500 4matic last June. it was built for me to my specs. I did not get the nav system and other electronic bells and whistles, but ordered nearly everything else including the Sport and the Winter Package. I had an 84 4Matic which was fraught with trouble. Transfer cases going every 6000 miles. Mercedes was terrific about dealing with this even after warranty, but it sent me to Audi as my next car. Convinced that the new E Class and the four wheel systems had been revisited, I ordered one. Performance, handling, comfort, all the things that matter are superb. The car is mechanically flawless so far. Incredible in Colorados snowy and high altitude driving conditions.
