Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • too many gadgets too little service IQ - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Great Car, poorly built. The engine is strong, very strong but its pushing a rolling sevice call. Dealership is unable to deal with complex technical problems and simple drivetrain issues.

  • The E320 - 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This has been a fantastic car. Im considering a new E320 or E500, but I cant bring myself to sell this one. It had a few small problems with bulbs blowing out. The local Benz dealership fixed the problem after several visits. Fortunatley, it was covered under warranty. The ride is exceptional as is everything else about the E320. I think Ill stay with the E class because it is easy to get around in the city yet still has a big car feel.

I just got a E-500 sport. Previously had 3 S430s. Overall combination of looks, styling and performance hard to beat. Fun car to drive. Every car has compromises based on critea a driver is looking for. WHAT A COMPROMISE!

  • Will Never Buy MB Again! MB=German Lemon - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

First and last MB I will ever buy! Since I bought the car, I noticed that the car pulls hard to the right. Its like MB built the car crooked. Whats even worse is that MB tried to make me pay for alignment!Service has been poor and 2nd rate compared to Infiniti & Lexus. Even after alignment, car still pulls to right. CD player failed 3 times, battery was replaced, left speaker fell off, gas mileage not as great as advertised, climate control failed. Car is too heavy for the engine especially when accelerating from a stop & transmission jerks when shifting from 1st to 2nd at slow traffic speeds. Amazing how a $60g engine is less refined than a $20g Honda.

Drove an LS 400 for 250,000 enjoyable miles, but wanted something with a little more road character. Throughly enjoying this new experience.

  • The Best Mercedes-Benz Ever!!! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I just bought my 2010 E350 Sedan, sport package with P1 package, Panoramic sunroof and the AMG Sport Wheels, I owned MB E class cars since 1975, and however, the 2010 is the best ever build in term of design, performance, quality, beauty, curb appeal, technology and fun to drive. In summary, this is unbelievable car.

  • Excellent for all year round use. - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

This is the best all year round car, especially if you need to drive in winter conditions. However, do not expect a sporty ride. In turns, it sometimes feels like a boat. The Continental tires that came with the new car was poor in handling corners and in tread life, the Michelin that I changed to was much better.

  • The 4-430 AWD is super - 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

This car has performed virtually flawlessly for three years. I hate to give it up. It is comfortable, a great road car.

  • Rapid Depreciation - 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Bought new E350 in may the car performs very well. Expect a rapid depreciation the first 6 months of about 40%. Purchased in May for $53,000, trade value in December was $29,000 with a peak of $30,000. Car is pristine. Tried to trade for an 09 could due to the depreciation.
