Overview & Reviews
A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.
Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

Bad E300D - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By TWH - September 11 - 10:00 amThis car has had a new transmission and consumes enough oil that it has never made it to a recommended service without having to add or change oil. The radio, CD changer, dash glass, somputer and various other componets have been rplaced the car has been in the shop more that 30 days within it first two years. While the car has never let us down its one warning light after another and it never seems to stop.

!st time Mercedes owner - 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Karl Boye - August 30 - 10:00 amAs a first time owner of a Mercedes, I am not impressed. The seating is not comfortable. No adjustable lumbar support and Im still trying to figure out what component of the seat frame is either loose or in need of replacement The seat "Pops" upon acceleration, deceleration or cornering. Im glad I didnt dish out the big bucks for a new model. This is 5 yrs. old. Next car will be a Lexus.

Whatever the car is, need a MB - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By drmcomtrue - August 23 - 2:00 amInterior is awesome; spacious, sophisticated; like the subtle steel lining the wood trim; Engine very Quiet; road noise very less in city; on expressway more than I expected; Acceleration decent; Gizmos galore; nice that it either lowers the seat or raises the steering wheel upon stopping the engine. Big trunk - could stuff the typical jack-ass-boss there comfortably - space under the rear seat nicely used. Cloth interior easy to get smudged. Premium sound system is awesome.Storage cute And adequate.Big glove compartment, the spacer makes it difficult for the rather huge manual(s) to stuff. Brake assist assists you more than expected leading to a bit of jerky stopping.

Bluetec Heaven ! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By DerekS - August 7 - 5:46 amHaving previously driven various BMW and MB models over the past 20+ years, my 2008 Bluetec is the best yet. The astounding torque has to be experienced to be believed. Passing performance is rocket-like. Trips to gas stations have become far fewer. All of the wonderful features of the E Class are combined with the superb V6 diesel. Why would anyone looking to buy an new E Class (or a similar luxury sedan) not consider the amazing E320 Bluetec ?? If V8 power combined with 4 cylinder fuel economy doesnt make sense, then what does ?

Classy, yet practical car - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By fulltimemom - August 5 - 7:20 pmThis has been a beautiful, yet practical car for our family. It holds our family of four plus 3 friends. Our family loves to ride in it, yet it is a classy car to take out on the town in the evening. The third row seat is roomy enough to accomodate adults. The engine has excellent climbing power which is very useful in our hilly surroundings. Excellent safety rating.

very disappointed - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By hatethecar - July 26 - 2:00 amBecause if my work, I put alot of miles on a car and need reliability as well as comfort. The reliability factor is certainly present, however, the cars interior is very uncomfortable for anyone over 57". I feel like Im in a tuna can. The seats are uncomfortable and the interior space is small and not well designed. I really dislike driving this car and hope to get rid of it as soon as possible. One other glaring mistake made by MB is the fact the the interior colors are so light its impossible to maintain particularly the flooring area. RIDICULOUS!

Tough choice - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Brad - July 25 - 2:30 amComing off a 2002 BMW530i, looking at BMW 530ix, Audi A6, and MB 3504M. Tough call. But the BMW was pricey and had awful interior controls, even after I got used to the exterior. The Audi was loaded with features and good looking but a mushy drive. I hesitated for months, finally settling on the MB. Drove it in a big snow yesterday. I have to say I would get another in a heartbeat. Classic look, great interior, wonderful drive. The drive is not as crisp as my BMW, but close. I enjoy the slightly more luxury feel more than I anticipated. Hey BMW, it has cup holders! If you are debating these three, go MB...

A Great Acquisition! - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Wally Samonte - July 20 - 4:11 pmI have not driven it enough to write an in-depth review, but after several weeks of driving, owning my 2014 E-Class 350 promises to be an extremely pleasurable investment. I am extremely pleased with the condition of this CPO purchase. It is like buying a new Merc at a discount.

By svenkat - July 19 - 10:00 amthe new e class is a hippo with the eyes of an eagle, legs of a cheetah, looks of a lion, sturdiness of a rhino, pulling power of a tusker, strike of a rattler
