Model Overview:

A favorite in the midsize luxury car class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has provided an appealing mix of comfort, performance and safety for decades. The trademark qualities of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as vaultlike solidity and cutting-edge technology, have also contributed to the E-Class' great popularity among luxury buyers.

Over the years, the E-Class has been offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible. Contemporary E-Class models come loaded with luxury features and offer stunning acceleration in higher trim levels, with diesel power available if you want to maximize your fuel economy. The E-Class has never been the sportiest car in its segment, but its handling has improved significantly in recent years. Rivals are better in certain respects, but if you're looking for the complete package in a medium-size luxury car, an E-Class will be hard to beat.

  • Saved my Life - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I purchased a pre-owned 2003 Mercedes- Benz E320 from a collegue in April of 2005. It had 23000 miles, but it was in great shape (save a broken cupholder). In August of 2005, while stopped in traffic on the way to Cape Cod, a Chevy Blazer traveling at approximately 75 miles an hour stuck the rear of my E320. I cant really remember it, but my car flipped 5 times, landing roof down, in the middle of the interstate. I should be dead. Instead, I walked out with nothing but a couple of bruised ribs & a new outlook on life. Look at the negative reviews---all arbitrary complaints about little inconveniences. Mercedes-Benz. saved my life. The safest car on the road. BMW cannot even touch M-B safety.

  • Noisy and transmission issue - 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Cabin has too much engine noise, especially during acceleration. Transmission has 9 gears. When gear changes due going up or down hill you can feel the gear change and sometmes the car jerks.

  • FUN, Fast and Luxurious - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Every time I get in my 2005 E320...I think..."I love my car!" I test drove everything in its class, above and below and chose the Mercedes due to luxury, driveability and fun.

This car is hot, especially when all the windows are down. I receive so many nods of appreciation. One beautiful vehicle. Awesome surround sound. This car has so many amenities which I was not used too. Great to drive. Just returned from a 1200 mile (roundtrip) road test. This car performs and handles quite nicely. Did not really monitor gas mileage, but as I think about it now, it was pretty great on gas on the highway.

  • Youve gotta love it! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This has got to be one of the most invigorating driving experiences I have ever had. This car is as much fun to drive as it is to look at. With DVD Navigation and Satellite Radio (Sirius) you have one of life greatest pleasures getting from one destination to another. The Harmen Karden stereo has such a vibrant sound. All in all -- a great driving experience

  • The Best Value for the Money - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

This is my third E-Class since 2000 and the best.I opted for the Sport suspension this time and found it to offer the best balance between ride and handling. Mileage was similar to the last E350, at 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway at 80 mph. The standard features with the P1 package are very impressive and more than one will ever need.

  • Finally - 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Ive owned nine BMW, 3 Audis and just about everything else a driving enthusiast would want in the price range of less than $60k. This car is by far the best I have ever had. Let me explain why. Ill start with the M5. Power, grace and superior handling. The E55 tops the M5 in every category except handling. The trade-off is comfort. The E55 changes gears quicker than the manual M5 so it provides the best of both worlds. I could go on, but in short, this car is great! I change cars every six months due to lack of satisfaction, but this one is a keeper. It changes gears like a Porsche, Its comfortable like a Benz should be.

  • Not for a everyday car...WEEKEND car ONLY! - 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Its a beautiful car, however if you are in your 40s and this is the only car you will drive everyday think twice before purchasing. I leased the car for three years and I cannot wait to get out of it...I might have to buy it out right and try and sell it myself because I do not think I can mustard 2 MORE years in it. P.S. please do not plan on picking anybody up at the air port, because even a small suite case will not fit in the truck! I have an allowance of 10 K miles a year.. if i did keep it I will be lucky to have half the miles due to not wanting to drive it..

  • Incredible - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

As an engineer I have always appreciated mechanical quality. I have had Land Cruisers for last 15 yrs, which are great, but this car is no doubt an engineering marvel: quiet, spacious, luxurious, incredibly well built, fine looking, great mileage, no rattles. I have premium 1 and 2 packages. They work perfectly and are incredible.

  • great car - 1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Have owned this car since new (48 miles). Last 95 in the states with options we wanted. Car drives today(96K miles)like the first day i drove it home. Had some reliability problems during the warranty period but the dealership was great. No problems since (knock on wood). Hard to justify getting something new, afraid it wont meet my expectations. Im a mechanical engineer and have been around cars all my life. Very solid build, great engine.
