Overview & Reviews
The E-Class sedan is completely redesigned this year. A more elegant body, along with more power for the V8 model and more luxury (including four-zone climate control and an optional massaging driver seat), bring the latest midsize Benz up to date. Last year's E-Class station wagon, however, carries over into 2003 virtually unchanged.
- Legendary solidity, effortless performance, state-of-the-art safety features.
- Firm ride for a luxury sedan, touchy brakes.

Beware of the 1st year - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MB Guy - February 1 - 2:00 amThese cars look great and make a nice statement. But the quality is down from previous years. These cars used to drive like a tank but now they are more mainstream. This could be good for some folks but not for old MBZ people. My Lexus was superior in many ways when it came down to it. The service at Mercedes Benz is not as good as the service at Lexus.

The Next Generation E-Class - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Birds34 - January 1 - 10:00 amAfter owning a 1997 E-Class and enjoying it for many years I was impressed with the new design of the new E class . The new E class is more like driving a sedan rather than a sports car, however it still has the operation feel of a sports car as my e- 500 is the Sport model with a v8. It is like having a sedan and sports car all wraped into one package.

Great car for a long time - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By ST - December 19 - 11:13 pmI still love this car, even after 6 years. Drives, handles great for a luxury sedan, and I tend to drive fast. Air suspension allows changing suspension for different driving conditions. It really works. Only problems have been electronic and happened in first 15K mi. None since; just normal maintenance. Car still looks and drives like new at 80,000 miles.

E500 Sport - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By vbryant - November 14 - 10:00 amOutstanding vehicle. The car is much better than the reviews suggest. If there were bugs early in the model year, M-B has fixed them all.

Love my car when it works - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By joerider72 - November 8 - 9:06 amDO NOT BUY! I currently average about $6,000/yr or $500/month in repairs to drive this car. The quality of the parts is shoddy, primarily due to poor engineering (its not engineered for longevity). The bottom line is that the car has WAY too much electronics that control and monitor everything. Those electronics do not have the life expectancy of the mechanical parts. Heres my list of repairs; front struts, rears are leaking, radiator, (damaged transmission - see TSB), control unit for tranny, suspension compressor, air hoses relating to suspension, tires because suspension was messed up. What I still need: brake accumulator, new motor mounts, new tranny or torque converter, rear struts

Mercedes-Benz E Class - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rcruzdir - September 26 - 10:00 amI received my vehicle as Fathers day gift. I have alway wanted a Mercedes- Benz however I had to wait in line for my wife and two children cars. I drove a Ford Mustang, Nissan Truck and a Volvo before my Mercedes-Benz E Class. The only other car I would buy is a Mercedes-Benz S class
