For 2015, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan is fully redesigned. It's longer and slightly wider, with a roomier and more stylish cabin trimmed in top-quality materials. New engines also debut. The C-Class coupe carries over with minimal feature changes.

  • Fun to drive, some problems - 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

    Car drives very smoothly and has a luxurious feel. The interior is nicely designed and you get used to the gear shifter really quickly. The touch pad is not very intuitive. Ive had problems with the sunroof and door rattling as well.

  • Tire eater from hell !!! - 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

    I bought this loaded 2015 c 400 with 9oo miles from the local Mercedes dealer on December 31, 2016 for $41k. A good deal, but...It eats front tires to such a degree that I now regret buying it. As usual for the C 300 class, the front tires are smaller than the rear so you cant rotate them. At 8500 miles the front tires were worn out. These Continental run flats cost $675 for two of them. The luxury and power are seductive, but the relentless depreciation and high maintenance cost make me wish I would have just bought the juvenile Subaru WRX or super juvenile ( according to my wife) WRX STI. I like driving in the mountains twice a week but the maintenance costs of my C 400...really all Mercedes...make me regret purchasing them. If I drove in the mountains daily, I probably would only get 5,000 miles out of them!

    Beautiful car with a great interior design with superior materials. Performance on the road is first rate. Like all Mercedes, the command and navigation systems remains second class. If you get a C-Class do not get the sport package or AMG package unless you like buying tires and having regular alignment appointments. Six tires in my first year, and now the car is in the shop having the engine replaced. Resale value is deplorable.

    After test driving numerous cars I found the C300 was good if not great in all areas. The driving experience is comfortable, quiet, smooth and has great handling. I love the looks of the exterior and interior of the car. It has a luxury feel and is very functional too. Ive had the car for several months now and no issues. Im very happy with this car and my wife loves it too.

    Purchased C400 six months ago with interior, multimedia, panorama sunroof, blind spot, hands-free trunk packages; has been to the dealer exactly once to install plates. This vehicle is great for someone looking for a good balance between sportiness and luxury. Had driven the late model E-series a few times and, while it was moderately luxurious, always thought the handling was relatively stodgy and heavy-feeling, even with the V-8. The 400C is nearly as long and wide as an E, but feels far nimbler and quicker (in part because it weighs just shy of 3700 lbs.). Positives: power and handling, exterior styling and interior appointments, color combination (Palladium silver, cranberry red leather and open-pore black ash trim), blind spot assist and navigation/multi-media setup. Negatives: dont find the touch pad particularly intuitive, sport suspension can seem harsh on poor pavement, windshield profile creates some wind noise. On balance, though, very fun and comfortable drive -- and who needs the extra 30 horses in the MY16 C450?

  • Ditched my dated 2012 C250 coupe for this - 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

    This is my 2nd Mercedes. My first was the C250 coupe, which I felt was underpowered. I also didnt like RWD, living in the Pacific NW where it rains a lot (well, it used to at least....) - I wanted something w/ AWD. When I saw the redesign of the C-Class, I was blown away and had to have it. Everything about the design is beautiful. Front, rear, side - doesnt matter the angle. Inside/outside - all like no other car (in this price range) in my opinion. Ive owned mine for 5 months and about 3,600 miles so far. It was built in April 2015. I know there have been issues w/ earlier builds - some recalls, issues w/ the MB-Tex seats bleeding, fuel door misalignment, rear bumper/tail light misalignment, etc. Ive had NONE of these issues. Theres a lot of talk about excessive wind noise. Not a problem for me at all. I have the 19" AMGs with run flats, so on rougher surfaces, there is a lot of tire noise. I also have the sport package w/ the stiffer suspension - and its noticeably rougher after having test driven one w/ the "comfort" suspension. If I could change one thing about it, I would mellow out the suspension, cause on some roads its a little busy and you get tossed around in your seat. Guess thats what the extra bolstering is for..... I looked at the 328, A4 & A3 when I was shopping. Nothing could compare to the interior of the C-Class. The A3 was surprisingly cheap looking inside. The A4 was a classic design, but dated and tired & I was surprised by the poor resolution of the LCD screen. Its since been redesigned and is much improved (especially the instrumentation display!) - but still doesnt have the unique, elegant finesse of the C300. When people see the interior of my car for the first time, they have a strong reaction. Its not like anything theyve seen before and theyre surprised by its beauty and high-end style. I love driving this car & make excuses to be in it as much as possible. I havent had a single issue - mechanical or otherwise. I know they exist, but those seem to be the loudest voices, as is usually the case. If I had to buy it over again, I would in a heartbeat. I love this car.

    I absolutely love this car. Buyers be aware!! If you get the C300 4matic be advised that from the dealer the tow of the vehicle prematurley weares both front tires. I was told I need new front tires at around 13,000 miles and my rear were in great shape. MB cutomer service was useless as so was Keyes European. I met a MB technician at a gas station who told me this info, that he has reported the issue to his superiors which I am hoping they have notified MBZ USA but so far the agents at HQ do not know of this issue. My suggestion to all current owners of any new MBZ car who has 4matic and tires prematurely wore is to complain to your dealership and to MBZ HQ USA.

    In short: - purchased fall 2014 as 2015 model - C400 with some upgrades (Burmeister, LED, but no advanced assistance) - one recall (steering) - one issue with radio (reboots every 2-3 hours) - one door handle light died - one rear bumper replaced due to discoloration - two services - 10K miles and 20K miles. 10K miles a bit expensive but within limits ($270). 20K miles service outrageously expensive ($680) - front tires are pretty much gone after 20K miles, rear tires look like new. - mean dealer - implying I painted bumper myself and this is why it changed color. Worst experience of my life Overall - the car is surprisingly reliable, but my Mercedes dealer sucks. Will have to drive to Orlando for future service.

    Good: my average 30 m/g and the record on hwy 44 m/g, led light, sound with package Bad: eco stop/start was fixed by the dealer by replacing main computer, waiting for replacing hinge of the passenger door, start some engine noise on idle, bad driver seats(too tight), bad wipers response and too slow on heavy rain, wind noise, GPS by Garmin(do not buy it)

  • My Mercedes C400 is the Worst Car Ive Ever Owned - 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

    Ive owned my Mercedes C400 for less than a year. Best car Ive ever driven. But like anything with astounding beauty and pedigree, its simply too high maintenance, too cold, and now, too unreliable to be practical. From issues with components not properly installed on delivery, door seals unraveling a week into ownership, two recalls, a lack of comfort in the cabin so extreme I don’t drive the car long distances, an engine stall in the street (sans key), service issues, and finally, total unreliability and failure; my C400 experience has been pretty disappointing. Id wait at least a few more generations before touching this model-- the glitches can be severe! Intuitive? Its smart enough to drive without a key within twenty feet, and stupid enough to stay in start mode and drain your battery, without any active attempt to start the car or even be present in the car for up to five (5) hours. How smart is that. Dont let your kids touch that button! I found out. After meter parking the car in NYC, and returning several times to re-load the meter and re-display my ticket inside the car’s dash window, locking the car every time, yet the car remained in active start mode until the battery died, with no error or warning message. Smart would be something different. If there is no active start (after pressing the start button) after a period of time--perhaps this super smart car should inform the occupant, via its intuitive messaging system (no one but Mercedes can decode your car— so they tell me-- hows that for transparency), that if no ignition is attempted within X period of time, the power will terminate, and preserve battery life. Now, that would be smart. The C400 is not that smart. At less than 3500 miles, the battery died and two attempts (one of which was by Mercedes) failed to remedy the problem without dealer interference, some 60 miles and three days away. Think about that. You are stuck in the middle of no where (to you, anyway), with a dead battery-- which can happen to anyone. Mercedes roadside assistance fails to charge the battery or offer any other diagnostics on the car, and leaves you to tow to their dealership, where only they can remedy the issue. Why? The C400 apparently needed an extra long charge, longer than another motorist, a tow truck or their own roadside assistance could seem to achieve when they attempted to jumpstart the car-- the electronics wouldnt even activate but to unlock the doors and leave them disarmed. A stalled battery is one thing-- and arguably my own fault. But who wants a car so smart it wont take a charge from anyone but Mercedes? While I believe the battery had, in fact, juiced itself into a coma, I also believe something went array with the car’s electrical and computer system, and the error was one that only Mercedes could clear. How’s that for holding yourself accountable. I had another safety issue with my Mercedes C400. One morning as I was rushing to work, I got in the car (kids in tow), started her up, and reversed into the street when the car stalled. Realizing I forgot my key, which was some twenty feet away, inside my house, it dawned on me how incredible it is that I was able to start my car and pull into a busy street, with no key in close proximity. After a recent trip to the dealership, this was corrected, it seems but the service manager refused to disclose it had been an issue to begin with. My dealership (the worst luxury dealer Ive ever encountered) insists there is nothing wrong with these cars and sales are robust, yet I have never seen another C400 on the road in my area. Seems to me Mercedes has some work to do in refining this model. I hope Mercedes will proactively recall any C400s with a safety issue and correct any defects in its messaging/electrical systems, if found, of course. Safety should be their top priority. Back to Audi. Tail between legs. Sigh. BTW, I offered my C400 back to the dealership (with less than 3500 miles). Not surprisingly, they passed.
