This Year's Model Updates:

For 2010, the Mazda CX-7 gets a refresh that brings a new SV trim level, a new base engine, higher fuel economy for the turbocharged engine, a revamped interior and a new face that shows off Mazda's bigger, happier grille.

Pros:
  • Sporty handling, strong performance from the turbocharged four-cylinder, solid build quality, attention-getting design, excellent safety ratings.
Cons:
  • Below-average interior utility, turbo engine is thirsty and its power delivery is not as smooth as that of V6 rivals.

Fun to drive! Steering, responsiveness, handling (for a SUV/crossover), and gas mileage are all pluses. Mazda certainly lives up to the "zoom-zoom" reputation. We had test driven several cars/SUVs some while nice dont give you the fun sensation you get with the CX-7 and a couple of others. The 2.5 liter while not a powerhouse is adequate and responsive enough for our driving needs. We just went on a short trip and were amazed that everything we needed to take, including our daughters two dogs, fit and didnt seem cramped or obstruct the view. Pleasantly surprised since we were replacing a somewhat larger SUV and space was our biggest concern.

This car is very comfortable and smooth. Gas mileage is awesome, and I am glad I did not get the turbo. It doesnt need it. If I wanted the power I would have gone for a 6 cyl suv, but the gas mileage makes it even more enjoyable! Being here in flat Florida w/no hills may make it acceptable as well with the non turbo. Interior design is beautiful w/no cloth on the doors to get dirty and it is very cozy inside w/the black interior...easy to keep clean. Wanted pearl white, but that only came with tan interior. Handles awesome and visibility is better than I thought it would be.

I just love my new CX-7! It drives so smooth. It is getting great gas mileage for a suv. I am averaging 25 mpg with combined city and highway driving. The 166 hsp engine has enough pep for my needs. I would recommend taking a look at this vehicle if you are in the market for a suv.

  • Happy with Mazda - 2010 Mazda CX-7

Planned to by a Chevy Equinox but after I test drove the Mazda CX-7 I was torn. After reading many reviews, consumer complaints and recall information Mazda pulled ahead. The Chevy had more creature comforts but the fear of spending that much money on a vehicle that might be a plush piece of crap made me nervous. The Mazda was everything I wanted and needed. It had a solidness to it that felt like quality. Maybe not plush or overdone with gadgets but it had a good simple design and seemed well thought out. I wasnt buying a car that was in every third houses garage. If I wanted to resell, that would help. Plus, every time I did see one going down the road. I smiled. I like how it looks.

I bought this vehicle last week. Its perfect. I got the perfect color (dallas cowboy blue), turbo, dual exhaust, leather seats, and heating seats. The drive is awesome. It has a smooth, but sporty drive. Easy to maneuver and accelerates quick. If youre looking for a midsize SUV, drive this one for sure. It will probably beat out the other vehicles youre considering. I am pretty picky when it comes to my vehicles, and this one really impressed me! Dont think, just buy it!

  • Simply Wow - Value of the Century - 2010 Mazda CX-7

I dont know how Mazda can pack so much luxury, technology and comfort into an agile, solid ride for thousands less than the high priced tags. The Grand Touring AWD comes with Bose Stereo, Navigation, Heated Leather Seats, Power everything...etc. etc. standard. To think I almost bought an Acura, Volvo or Lexus for so much more. Pure luxury on a working family budget. Thank you Mazda!

  • Excellent vehicle - 2010 Mazda CX-7

This is a very nice vehicle with plenty of features and style. The turbo engine is smooth with very minimal turbo lag - if any at all. I did, however, expect the car to have more power with the 244 hp. I kind of wish they just made this with a 6 cylinder and ditched the turbo. The MPG would be the same probably. The AWD system seems to work, although I can better gauge that in the coming Maine winter months. The handling is excellent for a vehicle of this size - much like my 2007 Mazda 6 that I traded in for this vehicle.

  • 3rd Mazda and Loving It! - 2010 Mazda CX-7

My husband and I just purchased a new 2010 CX-7 a few days ago and couldnt be happier with it. We traded our 2007 Mazda 6 to get a bigger vehicle. We never had any problems with the 6 and have always been happy with the service we have gotten from Mazda. I love the look and feel of this SUV. I had test drove a 2010 Lexus RX350, and liked the CX-7 a lot more. I am hoping once the car is broken in the MPG will get better. We also own a 2009 Mazda 6 s GT with a V6 in it and that is getting better MPG then the CX-7. Love the backup cam!

  • Exciting - 2010 Mazda CX-7

Just bought and find it to be the most exciting car since my brand new 1964 Austin Healey. Been through a lot of cars between. We are talking style and driving fun. Im certain it will be much more dependable according to everything I have read. Love it inside and out. All talk about seat sizes in back and cargo area are alright since design is so great.
