So far so good, could be better - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Richard Josh - December 25 - 1:36 pmI was looking for a great value crossover vehicle. I was eyeing the Audi Q5 but it wont come out until late 2009. So I shopped around and compared different makes. The CX7 by far is the closest to the Audi specs. I got the sport version (no leather seats & moonroof).

Compact SUV that is fun to drive - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Lurking - December 22 - 3:23 pmIve enjoyed my first month of owning my new CX-7. It is a beautiful vehicle and it has carried me through 6" of snow and a blinding rainstorm already. I test drove many other vehicles in this category but the Mazda was, by far, the most fun to drive. That consideration was not at the top of my priority list, but its superiority there outshined some of the smaller disadvantages. One thing I wish I had known was just how poor the gas mileage is. My vehicle is returning 13mpg in the city and about 19 mpg on the highway. Im not even sure how a 4 cyl engine can possibly return such poor numbers. I recommend the vehicle with the caveat that you must be willing to accept poor gas mileage.

CX-7 Touring FWD - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By SCJim - October 17 - 8:13 amAfter much research, I replaced my BMW X5 of five years with the the CX-7. I went with the Touring model as I didnt like the Grand Touring trim and no need for NAV. The car is an excellent value for the money. Fun to drive and interior comforts that you wouldnt expect at the price point.

Great SUV - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By jaron1 - August 2 - 11:51 amThis is a great car considered lots of other vehicles before buying. I thought the some of these reviews were unfair about this car as most of the problems were due to driver error. And not keeping up on normal maintenance this is a fantastic car fun to drive lots of spunk and great ride quality. Its quite inside with plenty of room I would recomend this car to anyone

2nd rating of 2008 CX7 - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Marlo - July 21 - 4:26 amThis is my second rating of this vehicle and not much has changed. I purchased the 2008 CX7 Sport December 2007 and it came with some options. It currently has 45k miles and I drive it alot. I havent experienced any major problems with the vehicle. The CEL came on once about 6 months after purchase. The light came on again last week but it keeps coming on/going off. I replaced the tires around 36k miles. My complaint about this vehicle remains the same - the stiff suspension. I dont have any additional complaints to add and the vehicle suits my needs. Considering my experience with the vehicle so far (and if the ride wasnt so stiff,) I would probably purchase it again

Only the first week - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By DRR - July 20 - 5:40 pmTwo days of ownership and the electrical system shut down on startup. Happened again the very next day, the keyless entry, radio and dashboard display shutdown completely. Electrical issue and the dealership will be checking it over in a couple of days. Great!

Overall very nice SUV - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Dave - July 17 - 8:26 amBought a demo in February 08 and it is a very nice SUV. Handles like a sports car and has nice acceleration but does ride a bit stiff. Test drove the CRV, Highlander, RAV4 and Acadia before settling on the Mazda. Fuel mileage is OK if you dont step on it too much but thats difficult because its really fun to drive!

Love the efficiency, oh and zoom zoom 2 - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Ransom - February 15 - 7:26 amMy new employer allowed me to pick out, negotiate, and purchase the vehicle I wished to use for company traveling. My ultimate choice was between Honda CR-V, and the Mazda CX-7. The Mazda won out because it drives like a sports car, has four doors, and loads of space for carrying work related marketing/sales equipment. I love it, its awesome to drive and averages over 20 mpg with lots of zoom zoom zoom.

dissatisfied - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By disappointed - January 4 - 5:36 pmAir compressor locked up at 18000 miles and burned the drive belt up. Gas mileage stinks, dont let the dealership lie about the fuel, you HAVE to use premium gas or it lugs and shifts like crap.

Great CUV - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Mario Varela - December 24 - 10:46 amThis is a great Crossover Utility Vehicle. It has very fast pick-up from zero and it hugs the road unbelievably. The exterior styling is very intriguing, will turn heads as you stroll by. The interior is also very stylish. The turbo comes in handy when needed.
