The 2000 Cherokee scores the '99 Grand Cherokee's redesigned 4.0-liter PowerTech inline six in addition to a new five-speed manual transmission. The Limited model sports bright chrome accents, including the front grille, the headlamp surrounds, the side graphics, the rear license-plate brow and the 16-inch wheels.

  Hind-sight is always 20/20 and I really wish we would have listened to the advise of others. Our Jeep has been towed so many times to the dealer for various problems, its a shame we dont get frequent flyer miles! I could list a whole variety of problems, but if replacing a transmission at 31K miles doesnt tell you everything, please contact me and I would be very willing to sell my Jeep to you!

  I tend to drive my trucks hard with lots of off-road time, but the Cherokee has never failed me.

  Very good performance. Interior comfort is questionable with a tall driver. The jeep is also very sensitive to what type of fuel is used. Off road performance is average at best when compared to other domestic 4x4s. Off road performance is poor when compared to import suvs.

  No leg room in back - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

  Adults will find their knees pressed against the back of the front seat, even shorties like me (53"). The front seat does not move back very far and my 6 brother felt cramped in it and his head brushed the headliner. The back seats are VERY difficult for an adult to get out of due to the very small door opening. Not the right car for anyone with any type of leg or knee restriction or injury.

  My dad bought this Jeep new in 2000, and loved it. After a few years, the poor baby had to sit for a while so he could drive something that got better gas mileage! I got this awesome vehicle on my birthday 2 years ago. I love it to death, it can do anything! Off road, on road, hauling stuff, this thing is a tank! I would never trade it unless it dies on me....hopefully never. 4LO is a ingenius invention, you never get stuck with that kicked in! And you can pretty much pull anyone and anything out from mud/snow, etc. Currently running with 99318 miles. New brakes after getting her running again after sitting, and new Firestone Destination All Terrrain tires.

  FIRST TIME JEEP OWNER ALONG WITH TOYOTA COROLLA.LOVE MY JEEP AS MUCH AS I LOVE MY TOYOTA.ITS MORE TRUCK THAN CAR SO RIDE IS ROUGH IN TOWN BUT GREAT ON A TRIP.FOR MORE THEN TWO PEOPLE ITS A LITTLE CRAMPY.IT HAS ALOT OF ROAD NOISE,TENDS TO SLIDE IF WET OUT,GAS MILEAGE NOT VERY GOOD...BETTER GAS MILEAGE WITH MOPAR OIL FILTER..WANTED DEPENDABILITY FOR EARLY MORNING WORK HOURS AND IT HAS NOT LET ME DOWN,ESP IN DEEP SNOW.WISH SPARE TIRE WAS NOT IN CARGO SPACE.HAVE HAD IT A YEAR NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS.CASSETTE PLAYER WORKS GREAT.WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE MY JEEP SHOULD OUTLIVE ME.!!

  its been a great experience with my jeep ive only had it a few months and i cant beleave how many miles ive put on it. I just cant seem to stop driving it. Im still getting used to the fact that its a jeep and can handle things i know i try to baby it to much. as far as bad things the brakes. but i knew that going into this adventour.

  Ive had my Jeep a little over a year now and it has been an excellent vehicle. Its got great styling and great reliability. Ive only had to change the tires, oil and wiper blades since I’ve had it. If you’re looking for a reliable great looking SUV buy a Jeep Cherokee

  Love my Jeep. Bought 2 in a row and love the first one as well. Never a problem, you cant kill that 4.0 motor. Wish they would bring it back. Easy to drive on the long haul or around town. Towed my boat and camper across many states and loved every minute of it. The back seat legroom area was getting a little small for my 5-10 boys. Other than that, we love the ole jeep. It got totaled , I mean really totaled but, if it werent for the Jeep, I may not have walked away from the accident.
