i have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport. it had been a "demo car". In the first 30,000 miles, i had it towed twice, had the drive shaft fall out at a stoplight, had all the power windows and locks go at the same time, all the gauges replaced, the entire fuel system replaced (except 4 fuel injectors, the gas tank itself, and the fuel rail), front axle replaced, transfer case rebuilt twice, transfer case linkage replaced 3 times, and the rear axle rebuilt...

  • Gotta Love My Jeep! - 2000 Jeep Cherokee
    By -

My second Jeep purchase. I owned 2 Nissans (functional), 3 Dodges (constant problems). In 1998, I bought my 1st box-type Jeep & fell in love! Around town or a snow bank, my Jeep always comes through! Both Jeeps are far beyond any expectation I had on the Jeep lot. Negatives? Road noise. "Rough" ride. SUV gas mileage. Positives: a blast to drive! Handles well on cement or off. Takes brushes with death with style & keeps on ticking! My 2000 has endured Alaskan winters, fishing roadtrips, a fender bender, & a mud pit a Hummer/4x4 Ram couldnt help themselves out of.. I see myself in the Jeep Cherokee until I turn it over to my sons 1st vehicle in 10 years!

  • Great SUV for the money - 2000 Jeep Cherokee
    By -

This is the first Jeep I have ever owned and I plan on keeping it for a long time. It has plenty of power to pull my boat around through the hills and the gas mileage is a respectable 20 MPG on the interstate. I am 6 foot tall and the seat and ride are very comfortable compared to some other SUVs Ive been in. This is a good driving 4X4 for the money, too bad they quit making them.

  • Bulletproof- buy again in a heartbeat - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

First new in 2000-absolutely bulletproof. Very practical w/ generous cargo space. tow hitch bike rack & ski roof rack. Easily handles class IV roads w/ plenty of gear, blasted through 1ft+ snow & rain deluges. Pulled a few stumps out & a stuck car. Fun at drive in with the hatch lid open to the screen. Knuckleheads t-boned it from both sides of the front wheel wells, but kept rolling. Req’d minor repair work, but takes a punch. Decent mpg (~20 mpg) for utility. Great acceleration. Can be bumpy at times, but swallows potholes w/o problems. No major problems beyond routine maintenance. Quality keeps up against any other domestic or import. Jeep, why did you ever stop making these?

  • Theres Only One - In my Garage - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Like many of you out there, I love my Jeep Cherokee. My Cherokee is loaded. For the money, you really cant do much better. I added a custom stereo, turning the back storage into a sub box, but still can use it for storage. I also added a remote starter and alarm, waterproof seat covers and Husky floor liners. It handles very well, passes with all the snot anyone could want in a 4WD station wagon, and is easy to maintain. I highly reccommend this vehicle over any others in the class. After all, it is a Jeep!

  • 2000 Cherokee Sport 4 X 4 - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

We have had this vehicle for about 2.5 years now and put 51000 miles on it and it has been great. Joy to drive and just a few small repairs. Gas milage is right at what the sticker says and lots of pep out of the 4.0 six. Havent used the 4 wheel drive much, just for a few snow storms, but it worked great.

  • Excellent buy - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I am glad I got this jeep. Its a 4D,2W drive, just needed it for regular use in city. After 4 years, Still Gives 22 m/g on highways. Very confortable to drive. Haven`t spent a $ for repairs yet, except regular oil change & maintenance. Drive one to have fun, a classic.

  • 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Excellent utility. One of the few vehicles made in the US which can be relied upon to exceed 200,000 miles if regularly serviced. "Jeepers" refer to them as BABY TANKS!

  • Chrysler and Ferman Sucks - 2000 Jeep Cherokee
    By -

When I purchased the Jeep it had bad rust on the under carriage pitted metal on frame, muffler, steering arms, etc... cause by exposure to salt, on a brand NEW Vehicle! The Dealer and Chrysler refused to do anything about it, stating that it was an acceptable amount - Not for me or anyone I showed it to.
