Greatly prefer the Cherokee to the Blazer.

  • I like It. - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I have not had it very long, but I got all the bells and whistles. Great acceleration compared to the Chevy Blazer. I drive a Blazer at work and greatly prefer the Cherokee.

  • Sad to see it go... - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I never thought that I would be driving a Jeep. This XJ has been my daily driver, my street racer, and my savior in bad weather. For a 4.0, Inline-6, this Jeep performs like an SUV on steriods. After a year since I bought her, I have been installing performance modifications that have upgraded the power. Now my XJ really burns the pavement. Overall, Im sad to see it go as I still believe DC made a horrible choice in discontinuing the XJ. Maybe someday, DC will have a change in heart and the XJ will come back with a revamped XJ for the future.

  • Gonna Miss My Cherokee Sport - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

This is the best car Ive ever had. I bought it 5 yrs ago with 55,000 miles. It was hit 3 times in the front & passenger area. It survived 2 fender benders and finally was struck by a deer a few days ago. The deer killed it. Insurance adjuster said the only reason its totaled is the high mileage, 169,000, made it less in value. Only repair was the oxygen sensor 3 yrs ago. I loved my Jeep, May it rest in peace. I truly will miss you. P.S. Im shopping for another Jeep =0)

  • Fun and dependable - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I love this vehicle. It is fun to drive and gets decent gas mileage for an SUV (19 mpg avg). It needed new brakes and rotors at about 60,000 miles but has been very dependable otherwise. It doesnt have all of the bells and whistles of the other SUVs, but its price reflects that. And when all is said and done, a dependable vehicle able to meet any driving situation is what Jeep owners are looking for.

  • 213,000 mi. and climbing - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have owned 17 vehicles and none of them even come close. The common problems associated with the Cherokees are present (front speakers quit working, A/C quit, hood latch rusted out), but other than that it has required almost no maintenance.

  • You know youre getting there in a cherokee - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I have had this vehicle for about 15,000 miles, and I have been very happy with it. It is as capable off road as off, and there are thousands of modifications for these vehicles. Whether you want to hit the trails or brave New England winters, these are some of the best vehicles for the money. The Cherokee is also one of the safest, toughest vehicles on the road.

  • A Real SUV... - 2000 Jeep Cherokee
    By -

This is my first Jeep and I wouldnt hesitate to purchase another one. The 4.0L is a torque monster that pulls better than any other compact SUV Ive ever driven. The Command-Trac 4wd system works flawlessly and allows this Jeep to go almost anywhere. Snow isnt a problem, just point where you want to go and hit the gas. Im 64" and drive in a very upright position and Ive got enough headroom so that Im not ducking while I drive. As far as brakes go I personally havent had any problems with them at all. There are a couple of real minor flaws inside. The transfer case lever does vibrate as does the exhaust system but these are minor flaws. Overall the Cherokee is a real SUV not a cute-ute.

  • Excellent SUV - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I love my Jeep Cherokee. Its an excellent SUV! It is primarily used as a company car, but it gives me great pleasure for weekend use. I would rate this vehicle as one of the most practical SUVs in its price range.

  • Nice to look at, but... - 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Mine is a newer truck, but needs too much repair and the build quality is not that good. Can only gets parts from Mopar.
