  • Loved this baby - 2004 Hyundai XG350

Got a used 04 xg350l in 2008 at 116k miles, in 2017 it finally died at 301k miles. Fast, fun, and easy to maintain, changing the timing belt through the tire well was easy. Regular maintenance wasnt too cost, except the rear spark plugs. Never changed gaskets, only had to fix small oil leak around 250m miles. Stylish, luxurious, I didnt know Hyundai was a beast rig. Glad to experience it, reliability or a Toyota.

  • good looks stolen from luxury cars ! - 2005 Hyundai XG350

First, XG DOES have side airbags! It is a matter of personal taste, and thus a relative thing, but I did not find any other near-luxury car to have the good looks of an XG. Anything equally or better looking will cost at least $5000 more. Good for Hyundai, shame on them to have stolen styling features from Bentley and Mercedes, goo d for us that they did it. Of course, looks are not everything, but XG does handle quite well, has enough interior room, an adequate fuel efficiency (I get 30 miles/gallon on highway with 87 gas, which is more than in the specs). I do not know how reliable an XG is; so far, so good, but I expect it will not be as reliable as a Japanese car.

  • A Jag for HALF - 2002 Hyundai XG350
    By -

Jag S claims a 5.3 second 0-60 vs. a XG350 0-60 of 7.7 seconds. Being an avid driver I have done the unoffical test myself and the Jag will beat the XG but by less than 1 second... $47,096 vs. $24,000 for similar performance and comfort is hideous. I found the Jag to be tighter in turns and grip the corners better but the ground clearance is 20% less so suspension is not the only factor. I liked the styling of the XG and was happy with the materials inside. Since the warrany is so comprehensive the risk is minimal. I remember the Toyotas of the 70s retaining their value...until everone woke up...WAKE UP!!!

  • Bargain for the money - 2004 Hyundai XG350
    By -

We were shopping for a car for under 10K with mileage under 70,000. What was available for that money? PT Cruisers, Ford Focus, Chevy Cavalier. The design, feel and features of this car beat those 3 times over. We only brought it home today but it rides very smooth, handles well and feels solid. That and all the other amenities to boot.

  • Love It - 2003 Hyundai XG350

This car exudes comfort with a very low cost. I enjoy its power as well as the smooth shifting 5-speed auto trans. When you feel like a little action just switch to the manual shift mode. The interior is very comfortable and quite impressive. Those who are used to small sedans will feel like its a Benz. Its not, but comparatively it is wonderful. I highly recommend this car for those who cant afford the $40000 competition.

  • Great Buy - 2002 Hyundai XG350
    By -

I have just had the car for a week and have thoroughly enjoyed driving it. Every one I show it to is extremely suprised by how it looks. Very smooth car to drive. With a price under 24K with taxes, it was a great buy. A Camry with similar equipment would be at least 5K more.

  • Looks good but.... - 2005 Hyundai XG350
    By -

My XG350L seems to have a transmission problem which the dealership cannot fix and the manufacturer is unwilling to allow replacement parts. It drives great most of the time, but occasionally and without warning has no power on startup, almost as though it is not in gear. It looks great both inside and out. Hyundai has done a good job with design and features, if they can just get over the continuing transmission difficulties they will have a competitor at the top of the mid- size car category which looks and feels like a much more expensive automobile.

  • 2002 Hyundai - 2002 Hyundai XG350

Car is quiet, comfortable on long drives. Jumpy acceleration when first purchased. Has been corrected. Had problem with fuel system that took four trips to the dealer to correct.

  • Good Value - 2005 Hyundai XG350
    By -

All the amenities of a Lexus or Caddie at the price of an Impala. A lot of options but not refined. At times when just starting the car surges when just touching the gas pedal and other times you can floor it and go 15 mph. Both go away in about 20 seconds but bothersome. Other than that very pleased with the car. Smooth tranny and good steering feel. Id buy another Hyundai with no hesitation.
