Model Overview:

Crossovers with carlike ride and handling characteristics are perennially popular, and a good example of the breed is the smart-looking Ford Edge. It's a midsize crossover with seating for five. Thanks to its roomy interior, long list of amenities and available all-wheel drive, it's typically a good match for small- and medium-size families seeking a do-it-all utility vehicle.

In road tests, our editors have praised the Edge's quiet ride and advanced features like the MyFord Touch electronics interface, though as with most modern, in-car technology, there's a learning curve. Additionally, Ford offers a range of different engines in the Edge to appeal to crossover buyers seeking performance, fuel economy or a balance of both. Although the Ford Edge might not appeal to bigger families in need of high passenger capacity, it's a solid contender in most other respects.

  • 143,000 miles since 2011 - NO ISSUES - 2011 Ford Edge

My 3.5 L V6 Edge Limited AWD gets 23.5 mpg average, no matter how I drive. I am averaging about 28 k miles per year. I have put lots of miles in on the highway, but also in stop and go traffic. Only replaced oil, filters, brake pads, wipers, and tires. PTU in rear trans replaced at about 118,000 under warranty. 85,000 miles out of each pair of Michelin tires (still on 2nd set). Great handling in the New England snow too. I will buy another Edge, and really think it is a great vehicle. Another Ford home run.

I have it only two days and I love it! I have the amethyst color, it is beautiful. Drives great and my 6"4" inch and 230 lbs teenage son, is comfortable and excited to show his friends!

  • Outstanding - 2008 Ford Edge

It is above and beyond my expectations not to be a true luxury vehicle. I like the visibilty it allows with its height. It drives like a sports car but rides like a luxury car. It has a hint of sportiness to it that keeps it from looking like a "grocery getter".

Front seat heaters and coolers. Back seats recline with seat heaters too!

  • First Ford and I LOVE IT! - 2007 Ford Edge

This Edge was my first Ford and first SUV. In the past, I’ve owned traditional 4-door cars, unusually foreign made. I don’t think it’s possible for me to express how happy I am with this Edge! The ride is smooth and very comfortable and it has a great 3.5 V6 paired with a smooth 6 speed transmission. I test drove the new 2007 Outlander, which couldn’t hold a candle to this new Edge.

  • Ford got it all right - 2007 Ford Edge

I bought the SEL Plus and traded my 2003 Expedition. We found that the space inside the Edge is a lot more than you think. We travel regularly with 4 pets and it works great for us. The styling is nice, hard to believe its a Ford! With all the incentives, 0% financing, you have to consider this over the Acura MDX for 47k. Youll save a ton of money and be happy with your new car too! The moonroof is amazing, good powerful engine, nice sight out the large front window and a huge amount of back seat room for adults to sit. We just drove it 600 miles and got about 21 mpg with it loaded down, including stops and traffic. To me thats all you can ask for.

  • Has been a very reliable, solid SUV - 2013 Ford Edge

Bought new at the end of 2013, SE model with the 3.5 V6. Only one problem in 4 years, an gas tank overflow valve started sticking and causing a check engine light. Replaced it myself for about 50 bucks. Car has over 106k miles on it now.

  • Nice Surprize - 2007 Ford Edge

I was not sure when I first got it, but within a day grew to love to drive it. Seats high and comfortable, Love the larger armrest storage. MPG is a little better than most in its class. Drives great.

  • Perfect Family Vehicle - 2007 Ford Edge

This is the perfect family vehicle. It has impressive performance, handling, style and room inside. My Edge performs better than anything in its class, gets great mileage and is solid. V-6 is Wards Auto 10 Best Engine. Large 2nd row seat with ample cargo room. AWD makes it even more stabile in the winter.

  • In with thenew, out with the old! - 2017 Ford Edge
    By -

We had a 2008 Edge that was traded for this one. We loved the handling and use of the old one. This one is superior because of the new improvements in size, styling, navigation, audio, internet, and more we havent checked out yet. Only have had it a month. It is so quiet on the road and smooth.
